Apparently Senderos won't be playing again this season, after breaking down in tears after the loss to Liverpool on Wednesday.

Guilt is a powerful emotion

I think Wenger is not far behind him going on his last few interviews

nice to read a thread where the oposition supporters appreciate the football we were playing especially manc supporters.
thought we were awesome first half, out playing the champions at home, then all went to the usual arsenal dog turd(past 2 months). no belief in holding a lead.
brilliant changes by sir Alex as you was a different force second half. thats the difference between the 2 teams this season(and past 2) the quality you had on the bench. theo is a good substitute but he's no tevez and lets not forget our goal line clearence hero bendtner
3-4 experianced players and we will win a league tittle imo. likes of ronaldinio, deco etc i believe we could get players like this to.

missed both opening goals as had to do something then missed them again on MOTD. so obviously it never touched his hand and never a penalty

1-1 draw seemed fair but its not a fair game and owens free kick was good enough to win a CL final. superb.

looking forward to next season now as this one is over for me(been over since liverpools win)

16vmarc - always good games between us.
Funkii - spot on with the wenger comments, the guy has turned us completely around as a club, thats why he can win nowt for 4 years and we still sing his name loud.

As for Senderos, feel sorry for him, he is suposedly a super captain and man, a leader of men at only 21, captain of the swiss team, a excellent professional, BUT not good enough for the very top level. He's the kind of player who could become a legend at another non-top 4 club I feel, or possibly Celtic who were interested.

We USED to have a stunning team with Vieira/Petit/Giberto at the heart of our midfield with Pires and Lungberg as top wingers in their day. We had a solid defence and we had World class strikers in Henry and Bergkamp with good support from the rest of the squad. We don't have a squad now that is a patch on what we used to have. How can you compare Adebeyor with Henry? Hleb is a replacement for Bergkamp and was bought for that role but he has not got the same talent or finishing and never will compared to what Bergkamp had.

So yes Wenger did turn us around with an amazing squad. Now those World class players have left/retired he has done bu66er all about replacing them with equally talented players and refused to spend any money. The one youth player that has paid off is Fabregas who is World class. Rosicky and Van Persie could be World class if they stayed injury free long enough to play all season. However being constantly prone to injury they might as well not be at the club as they can't play most of the season. Gilberto is our remaining World class player from the old squad and he is going to leave this summer after Wenger has p!ssed him off over the last year with the captaincy debacle and then dropping him for Flamini. He is good enough to play for Brazil but not for Arsenal He should have been captain without a doubt, not Gallas. He would then be staying this summer.

So those Arsenal supporters who think Wenger is doing an amazing job in refusing to buy experienced and proven players and failing to win the league in the last 4 years need to wake up and remember what we used to have 5-8 years ago. We had a team full of World class and experienced players who were on par and at times better than Man Utd's squad and we were the best two clubs in England by some margin. We had some of the World's best players in Henry, Bergkamp, Vieira, Petit, Pires.

You can't afford to let those quality players leave and not replace them but that is exactly what Wenger has done and the results show that. A 100% youth policy is not the way forward, it has to be a blend of old experienced heads and fresh blood exactly how Man Utd are doing it.

he made those players world class, as he is and will do with the ones we have now. Which ones have left and continued to be world class? He had to work in a very tight budget for the last 4 years due to having to pay for the stadium. Now this year he has some cash so we will see what he spends this summer. Considering at the start of this year we were expected to drop out of the top 4 and gooners were still happy with our plans for the future then I think we have done well. admittedly the collapse has got gooners coming out of the woodwork moaning that we need this and that but its a fine line this success thing.

we need a centre back, a goalie and a left sided midfielder, thats it imo

the reason im moaning is because i expect trophies and i havent seen anything in 3 years except the emirates cup
he had money to spend but didnt deem it a requirement.
dont get me wrong wenger is a god in my opinion. thats why he's untouchable at the moment.
whats being said is we need to invest in players and not hope our skilled youth can come of age and stay good ,til the end of the season next year.
we do have a great foundation to build on but need a little more.

all imho of course
