As other have said too: Hypertech Bonnybridge. Really friendly bunch with shed loads of experience with Scoobys and other Jap cars. He re-built my engine, did all my suspension and geometry - highly recommended.
Welsho i think Grant is questioning the dig at AWD not anything to do with Kenny Brown.

No I know, I was chipping in with my recommendation for Kenny and Duncan, nothing else.

i believe kenny brown built one of the really fast andy forrest mapped subaru engines that smashed the 1/4mile title.
kenny did the rally support for years, i e following lots of guys around the country and rebuilding everything when they got dragged out of ditches an towed back to his tent
he is top guy at car preparation, corner weighting- geometry set up.and he knows set up for almost every circuit in the uk....

i was in last week there was a blob eye, a 450bhp classic catalunya,a bmw 530,an x5 and a lamborghini all in for diffrent things.cant be bad eh!

Quite a few guys from Southern and Central Scotland and as far away as Perth, Aberdeen and Inverness come all the way to Darlington to DLM Autos or myself for mechanical work to be done including mapping with Bob Rawle.

If your in any doubt about Greer Sport Racing, check out peter lee's subaru. The car is a work of art. I travel 170 round trip 3/4 times a month for the guys at Greers to work on my wagon. They get my vote. And my money :-)

Richard.

Good thread revival!

When I had Andy F remap my car he recimmended Chris Allan at Linton Services. I remember the mechanic saying he had worked on subarus he got a bit bored of it (dull for him but great to hear they know the cars inside out!). Good job by them.

GB Motors in Viewforth are a great all round garage.

Interested to hear about SW in Penicuik.

I wouldn't take your car to Chris Allan at Linton Services never mind mine. Rough as **** ! I'd never recommend that place to anyone.

Now that is a recommendation!

Can't go wrong with using Steve for the build and Andy for the map

im with black subaru geer motosport are cowboys, put my car in for a service, they never changed diff or gearbox oil, they also done a brake change for me, and it came out with the discs back to front, surely thats the basic of mechanics, should of just done it myself as i ended up changing them anyhow back to the right way,
kenny browns i must agree are top bloke, went in asking about suspension as there going to fit br coilovers for me, and he spoke to me for 30mins-45mins just eplaining setups ect and best choice for my budget, excellent place. there is also a guy on sidc with a garage in paisley who i have heard good things about prob on here to
