All hail the champion! BMW drivers are bar none, the worst around. They have managed to achieve that elusive combination of disdain, money, attitude, disregard for others, and self-importance that no other drivers have. BMW drivers don't just not care about you … they HATE you. They hate having to share the road with any other driver. They hate those who drive what they consider sub-standard cars (i.e. any car not costing over £30,000) because they are losers. They hate those who drive Mercedes, Lexus, etc because they are stuffy or old. They hate those who drive jeeps because they take up too much room. They hate those who drive Subaru’s, Evo’s, and other Fast sports cars because those drivers don't drive fast enough. They even hate other BMW drivers because they can't stand that anyone else has their car. BMW drivers are generally white 40-somethings with a wife and three kids, plus a mistress on the side. They tend to be largely lawyers or investment bankers, whose philosophy is that the world is here to serve them, and it is doing a bad job of it. They mistreat and underpay their Polish housekeepers, and consistently mispronounce their names. Their children are named Star or Brittney or Cruz or Brendan. They were all in either fraternities or sororities, play golf badly, and revere Tiger Woods for being a credit to his race. They are the scum of the earth, and truly deserve the title of the worst drivers around. If you want to have fun, do yourself a favour and cut a BMW driver off without acknowledging him. Then when he honks his horn or gesticulates at you, give him the bird. The audacity of your display will send him into a rage the likes of which will provide you with hours of enjoyment as you recall how many shades of purple his face became as he cursed you out for soiling his planet with your existence.

Maybe even out on the road when the owner of a PPP equipped hawkeye WRX gets out accelerated in a straight line, in the wet by the owner of a 300bhp Vauxhall or VAG group car? Time to wake up and realise the game has moved on perhaps?

We weren't talking about my car by popular demand but you insisted:-

superior engineering an evolution has removed all traces of 'tail happy' behaviour in the 911. If you ever get the chance to drive one you'll realise just how effective this is and how much more stable (as you'd expect) they are than most other cars whatever their drive system.

The 996TT I drove just wanted to tramline and not drive in a straightline

Yes, you get a self funded trip to the Nurburgring where some owners of said cars and those with less power will give you a reality check, wet or dry.

So a 911 will be as stable as an Impreza in the wet on a diesel coverd road?

I found a focus st170 easier to drive in the wet than a subaru. Things have moved on since the classics in terms of chassis design etc, I understand what NACRO is getting at. Saying that though I obviously really enjoy my sub(MY98) otherwise I wouldnt have it.

Can we all agree then that clearly the Porker forum doesn't have much happening as you're on here basically wanting people to tell you your right your cars great and ours are all ****e !?!?

I love Porsches but frankly if you've got the attitude of the average driver I better stay away as I clearly don't want to turn into the **** you so clearly are.

And as for moving on yes Porches may be better now but bloody hell it took them some time to sort out the sliding ... shouldn't they have bothered ?? Good job someone still bought them or you wouldn't now be driving one as they'd have gone out of business.

O and by the way .. you're right we're wrong your cars great are's are all **** NOW FK OFF back to the bridge troll.

The something was amiss. My car and the others I drove are far more stable than any other car I've ever driven and if you knew my car history you'd realise that's an extremely comprehensive constituency.

Pants, I'm not the one who keeps bringing my car up.

I'm also glad you love Porsches, I also have a soft spot for Subaru's cars.

Perhaps you should try to be more civil, not circumvent the swear filter and abuse people if you want to continue contributing to this community?

My mistake then I take it all back

I had a "legal" play with a Porsche Turbo S yesterday evening just a wee bit of fun between us. I tell you what it had the fatest tyres I have ever seen, made mine look anorexic, but it did look good.

They aren't mean to be 'witty', other people are the ones who keep bringing up hot hatches and I've never mentioned expensive RWD coupes.

I'm contributing by adding to the discussion in an entirely neutral way without using insults and profanity. Some people obviously have a problem with the truth so resort to insults and accusations of trolling.
They might do better to try having a reasoned debate, if they are capable of it.

well I own an STI so I couldn't compare....

Id happily take a 4wd car over a all these new hothatches that ppl seem to think are a cut above....the astra, civics...they can stick em all up their ar$es tbh.....

and whoooppeee doo, out accelerated on a straight.....so fvckin what? the real fun is driving these cars in demanding conditions...NOT in straight lines.....and I think the jury is out on whether a decent scoob would be out accerlated by one of those.

I don't regard Impreza's to be the best out there, hell im a massive Evo fan, IMO though for a performance car, I wouldn't buy anyhting other than a 4wd.

I find that interesting, my choice for a performance car would be RWD. It's far more rewarding and ultimately tends to be faster given reasonable conditions. It's amusing to note that in wet conditions on the 'ring that the Impreza fraternity don't appear to be as quick as the so called advantage of AWD should make them. Maybe down to the driver?

I also agree that straight line drags aren't very interesting but they do seem to be very popular with a lot of owners on here.

As for dismissing some very capable and interesting cars with 'stick them up their *****' surely as a car enthusiast you should be a little more open minded?

Maybe but if you haven’t got the grip in isn't going to handle very good

To be honest I don't think they have any idea what handling or grip are at all.

I'll give you an example:-

A Mazda MX5 handles well but has relatively little grip

and

An Impreza has lots of grip but doesn't handle very well compared to the MX5.

How is that then

A MX5 may handle well but the grip levels have to be good for it to achieve this.

Fair enough if a chassis is well balanced but has very little grip it can be fun but if there is no grip you cant say it handles good.

Exactly. Surely the likes of a clio 197 would be quicker than an impreza over certain roads i.e very tight and twisty with lots of camber changes?
