you may be able to tell by just clipping the gear leaver gaiter, the OEM shifters have big ugly looking attachments whereas most (certainly my B&M anyway), CNC'd bits...

Agreed I have not, but I've driven a couple of Skylines with them fitted, the Nismo £250 25% reduction one was good but the cheap ones with the higher % reductions are crap to be honest.

Err No!

Never buy any performance parts off of flea-bay..

As a rule of thumb if the short shifter is offering any more than about 25% reduction in throw then avoid it as it will significantly increase your chances of misshifting. Also be wary of anything costing much less than 100 quid.. you get what you pay for in life afterall..

Thumbs up

I notice the pics have '800bhp' at the bottom. Does this mean that if I get one fitted, my car will triple it's power output? Seems a bargain for £20!!

No, seriously, I've had one on my classic Cat for years and I can't remember more than two or three missed shifts (and I doubt they were due to the QS, more likely me!). Do it, it makes the shift feel really solid and positive - a friend drove the car and the feel of the gearchange was the thing he went on about the most!
