How about keeping the original design intact but softening it with some filigree work? It will probably mean the piece is larger but bigger tattoos always look better

I'm feeling a bit shocked still, I can't beleive he isn't here.
I am at at my mums at the moment, and I know the children are helping them to stay positive.
Very sorry to hear your news!

I think I will use it as a large back peice, in black and grey. I might have a go at up scaling it and a re drawing is and see what I can come up with. The fist on some of those images looks a bit pixalated too, so that will need some work.

Let me know how you get on, whilst I'm pretty hamfisted I do have quite a few talented friends

Getting it done by a female tattooist is another good idea, I know someone who would do a cracking job

Looks like I might be getting another new piece if all pans out right lol

Both my artists are female, and as the piece on my foot and thigh age I love them more and more.

Had my new tattoo done on Saturday.

I stayed pretty much to the original design, for obvious reasons, but made a few alterations.

I had it done by Indy Angel at Indy Ink, she is a lovely lady, and the studio is wonderful.

Mystery, lovely piece mate!
Hysteria, pictures please.
My right foot is now as good as done, looks fantastic in my opinion, will post a pic shortly.

Now on to my left foot and a totally different design, as another very significant friend has since passed away

It doesn't look too big in the picture, but it's not small!

My dad was having the original design, as it appears here...

http://mamafeelgoodmusic.co.uk/wp-co...-THE-FAITH.jpg

I didn't want it to be exactly the same. I thought it abut masculin, so it's been simplified.
I kept 'keep the faith' and dropped the 'northern soul' so that it is still meaningful, yet the sentiment and purpous still applies.

Nice to see something different.

Here is where I am up to so far with my hannya foot piece.
I'm loving how my new design is coming along too.

To be honest the achillies was fine.for me the sorest point was the inside of the foot just where the red mask tapers off. Just a 1 inch square area lol. The rest was pretty much ok.

Thanks, I'm already looking into what else I can get as it just looks lonely there on the back!

There is no rush though, and I have already had some ideas, I am looking into a music/Motown theme so I'm looking into all different things at the moment to try and tie it all in around it.

Snazy, that foot is looking good!

Yeah, it is amazing.

The lady who does mine is fantastic, she is currently doing a lot of cover up/corrective work too so she is pretty busy.

I can imagine how sore that foot is, my back is giving me some grief today!

Very good, I think it's because every time I sit down it's sore. Ah well, no pain, no gain!

Its funny, I don't remember 'down below' being so bad afterwards, but the hip area was bad during. I had to smile when he said my tummy was nice for a mummy!
