I would go on SIDC but my work have blocked most forums so i cant get on it until i get a internet setup at home.
Skye looks like about the same distance from ness that i am.
I'd be happy to go to any subaru meets that are in inverness, any further then its a bit of a journey.

Hello folks,
I've not posted on here in a while but it seems there may be some of you willing to go to an inverness meet.
Last year we held a few meets, a couple at the start of the year were held in inverness and scooby222 led the way to some very good scenic roads that are quiet enough for a spirited drive. The lack of inverness peeps and the fact that a handful of us were travelling from the Elgin area up to Inverness, ment that we started holding some Elgin meets. These elgin meets have generated more numbers therefore the meets have been held there.
There are some fantastic roads around the inverness and west area so us lot around Elgin are willing to take the drive to inverness to attend some of these runs.
Usually the meets/runs consist of meeting in a car park, having a wee blether because we all get to know eachother, then set off on a run. Runs may last a couple of hours or more depending on the route or how far we are willing to drive. Our Elgin run last november was about 150 miles and we ventured up to the lecht, some great roads up in the hills there
During a run we will usually stop now and then for a blether, stop for a bite to eat etc, and sometimes we go to a restaurant for a bite to eat at the end of the run.
Dont get me wrong, none of us are nutters and go out on these runs to drive flat out. Its more spirited, taking in some great landscapes, twisty b roads, etc. Drive at a pace you are happy with, and of course drive safely to the road conditions too.
There is an Elgin meet on the 5th April, 15 names are down so far and you are all more than welcome to come along...and I understand that this may be too far for some of you so fair doos if that is the case.
Scooby222, its maybe time to organise another Inverness meet, possibly that run to Skye could be on the cards again
Rich

cheers Rich, nice sum up of what we do. i know that for some owners clubs/other areas its a case of meeting up showing off your latest flash mod and heading home in a flurry of burnt rubber which is fine but ive always felt that the point for me is to go somewhere where we wont offend other people and enjoy these cars, and any mods weve made to them, doing what they were built for with like minded people. having a chat at the start and end lets people get to know each other and is a good way to find out what other people have done thatve improved their car or otherwise (in Richs case selling his evo to buy another scoob was his best performance mod
)
and trust me if you dont get at least a little grin from the look on big and wee kids faces as 8 or 10 imprezas roll through one after the other you need prozac!
