I THINK ITS TIME TO CALL AN END TO ALL THIS KEYBOARD WARRIOR STUFF FOR THE SAKE OF OUR CLUB . and move on we are all grown ups .if people want to go to mid week meets (FINE ) if people want weekends ( FINE ) let just let it go please

I agree, two meets will give everyone a chance to meet up when they can make it!! I like the Sunday meets because it gives the chance to go an a wee run if we want to and during the winter, we can see everyone's cars etc. Weekday meets are also good in their own way as we can have a drink and a chat inside and some tidy tucker too!!

I must say members of a group are allowed there own opionon on topics that are happening at that time.
R/O have to take flack like this now and again from all sides and come up with a appropriate idea to make things best for all people.
The previous R/O's have had this all the time trying to sort meets and keep everyone happy, you only need to ask them.
You should never take this so personal and express these openly on a forum like ours as a R/O
, this will only scare of people like it has done so already.

This is some strange **** going on!!!!
By the looks of things people have forgotten what SWS is all about.
Perhaps a little history lesson needs to be explained.
In the beginning there was 7 of us, (Kev, Simb2, Big Daz2, VC, Matscooby, SSS and me) We were all attending shows throughout the summer (Castle Combe and Santa pod (Those that have gone to the pod with us know the fun we have and that good freindships have been formed with all that have gone)
We wanted to do something extra on top of these shows (Back then there was only a handful of shows, One at Castle Combe and 2 at Santa Pod) we decided a meet down a pub somewhere would be a good idea to catch up with friends and have a laugh.
The first meet was down at langstone around 4 and half years ago and this was organised by Matscooby, we had around 10 cars including a couple from bristol and the impreza sport. net.
The meet was fun so another was organised for a couple of months later.
Trying to find a venue was really hard. The area had to be big enough to get everyone in plus there normal customers. Most pubs don't like there carparks being used as they think it would be for halford cruise type of thing instead of some mates with interests in the same make of cars gathering for a chin wag.
We decided on the carvery as it's got a massive carpark, central for everyone and it has flood lights. Pippyrips asked the owners and they agreed it was okay but providing it was during the week as the weekends were there busy days and they didn't want to scare off the trade with the impression of a cruise.
We then decided it might be nice to have an identity much like the essex scooby crew. This we all thought was a good idea and SSS got quotes on stickers, polo shirts and contact scoobynet for bannors under our user names.
SWS is not an offical club, We pay no membership fees and no one is in charge. Everyone has an equal say. If someone wants to arrange something they do.
Everyone no matter what they drive has been made welcome, be it a Van, bus, limo or a jeep!!! You don't have to drive a Subaru to come along, it helps in order to keep up when on runs!!!
It would appear that there are now two devided groups, I don't understand why this has happened or the reasons behind it. I couldn't give a monkeys if someone wants to leave or stay, I've made some very good friends and will continue to meet up and have a laugh.

Cant we all agree that it makes sense to have both meets, its just a shame there seems to have been some negative attitude towards one or the other. Personally i have found the Sunday meets more convenient but i dont have an issue with the weekday meets, iv been to many over the past 2 years and found them to also be very good and will continue to attend when i can. In fact its where i have met most of the great people in the club.
Daz, in my previous post i wasnt trying to have a dig mate, thats not my style, its just that this didnt need to be kicked off again in this thread.

i think 2 meets would be best option for everyone,all i want is my voice heard never meant to upset anyone but the club that i love was being changed for my opinion for the worse.julian i never ment any mallis to you but am very angry with your comments about me personally which was hurtful and unjust.i say things as i see them i dont live up anybodys ***,iv,e met some amazing freinds whilst ive had my scoobys and plan to keep those freinds.sorry if i upset anyone but i stand by what i said.
