Sting,

You have my sympathies I got my bottom wisdom teeth removed and the useless lump left half of one still in. To this day, it is still there, poking up a bit now. Luckily my current Dentist says it is not causing a problem so he is leaving well alone. Top ones are intact though

Surprisingly it did, simply couldn't open my mouth wide enough until the jaw muscles eased off after a couple of months...

The other thing was getting uses to the extra space minus the 4 teeth, the acoustics resonating around my mouth were playing tricks on my ears !!

Surprised me as I never really gave it a second thought....

Ok went back to the dentist today, I have a condition called dry socket and an infection.

So antibotics, painkillers and they packed it with stuff which looked like horse crap and it tastes horrible

He doesn't think I will be better enough to have the other one out Saturday so that will probably be delayed

So Scooblou's tooth problems continue, please keep tuned for my next installment

Dry socket is not good

Did you use Corsodyl mouthwash and follow the dentists instructions to the letter ??

Hi SiPie, due to the last infection I had I followed their instructions to the letter as I was so scared of going through that again

Unfortunately it was such a difficult extraction that I feel that hasn't helped things.

Does anyone know what that packing that is they put in my mouth? Its brown and horrible tasting

The brown stuff is probably "alvogyl" or whitehead's varnish pack. Both taste absolutely terrible .

If it was a local dentist then my money is on alvogyl
