i think we should do this again but with better benchmark software
this one does seem dependant on clock speed (one core) only which is a bit poo in the light of multicore processing![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
http://www.passmark.com/products/pt.htm maybe, has a 30 day trial anyhoo

Wow great figures
the only issue I would have with that is you have adjusted your base clock, its a big
on sandybridge cores if you want to retain reliability on the mobo/cpu, your not really suppose to adjust it from 100, see yours is at 106.3
so may be worth knocking it back a little ![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)

tony, is that for the 2600k chips. 1.5v certainly wasn't the case for the first gen i7s. somewhere around 1.4v max i read some place.

Thanks for the comments guys
Overclocking is a hobby of mine, I'm currently ranked third in the UK
Cooling was with a Single Stage cooler which means the CPU was running at around -40![Cool](images/smilies/cool.gif)
The base clock is pushed so that the ram frequencies are higher, I could run it at 100 X 56 but that would be boring![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
Voltage at 1.6v is fine if it's cool enough
