I read a bit, but it was too boring for words!

I can make up my own mind given what I know, and he certainly isn't a Muslim.

Personally, its Clinton for me. While she has her faults, I don't think Obama has the political experience to really make a good president yet, give him another four or eight years. I have the feeling she could be Americas Thatcher - I get the impression she's very career focused, intelligent, understands the political spectrum very well.

Have to admit that I'm surprised that the race issue hasn't been more of a problem for Obama, but then I guess if you look at the demograph of many of the southern American states where his colour would be more of a problem, they have large, below the poverty line, black population as well - who would probably counter any "race" votes with their own.

Whatever happens, its going to be an interesting election, as I think for the first time in a long time, American voters are going to be swayed massively by who comes out of the primaries as the presidential candidates; rather than being more concentrated on party lines.

McCains age need not necessarily disbar him. He seems pretty fit and his experience of life will count for a lot. He is more left than the usual Republican and that may not be a bad thing.

I think it say alot about the state of western minds when his campaign could completely fall apart solely on the basis of the religeous views of his parents.

He could be the best thing to happen to the US but if he fails to distance himself from his Muslin past, its all over.

My prediction:

Clinton beats Obama. Clinton wins, possibly takes Obama as a running mate.

Everyone goes running for McCain just to avoid Clinton.

McCain next in the White House.

However, latest news is that the big thing is The Economy Stupid as house prices fall and fuel goes up. Not sure who has the winning policy on that one. Wasn't that supposed to be McCain's weak point?

I could see President Clinton and Vice-President Obama; it pretty much ties up everything the voters seem to currently want and I think it would give them an exceptionally strong pairing; the Republicans are going to have a hard time regardless who wins out of them really I think.

The problem with the US is its such a huge country, and unfortunately the "stupid:clever" ratio is poor.

There are some very clever, well minded and balaced indivduals out there. But they are completely undermind by the completely and utterly ignorant buffoons that they have to live next to. And this is just not rednecks, even in the upstates feejits are of the greater dominance.

Still, most are very nice and hospitable folks when you befriend them, just they are closed into their own little world that is the US of A.

For that reason alone Obama hasn't a look in, 'cos he's Blick and has Muslim backgrounds. It wouldn't mater how good he is or not, as the average numpty wouldn't see past that.
