Has anyone found a good torrent of this yet ? Dodgy CAM and TS so far

I thought I'd hate the camera-work, but just as the party footage was getting tiresome the action started and I found it great being almost one of the cast. Usually in an action film you are always treated to the best angle for any spectacular set-piece, but it made it more like being there having a single, compromised viewpoint. Yes, the Americans are annoying, always. How many times did the scriptwriter type 'o h m y g o d !' ? I missed the glimpse of the creature splashing down, and I knew to look out for it too As for the audio at the end, again I knew about it so didn't waste my life waiting, but believe it says 'Help us' and then reverses to say 'It's still alive'.

Thought it was a crackin film, wasn`t expecting much of it though, figured it was Blaire Witch style and would be crap but was most surprised. Missed both bits mentioned here though!

Watched it the other night too.
I didn't think twice about the camera view etc. Didn't bother me at all, as I knew the film was about that.
Thought it was good, but a crap ending.

I watched it the over the weekend and really enjoyed it. I thought it might be a bit dodgy watching it at the cinema as I'd heard about the shaky camera work, but on my TV with the AC3 sound it was awesome.

I just watched it and was suprised how much I liked it. The shakey cam is a bit annoying at times but then at others it heightens the sense of fear.

Can't wait for "Aladygma"

Bomb proof monsters

They can put a bomb through metres of reinforced concrete, but not this creatures skin apparently.

And how tall was it? One second it is half the hight of a tower block, the next it is swatting helicopters from three times that hight

Great special effects and would have made a great traditional monster movie.
IMHO the camera idea just spoilt it, and made it hard to watch.

This film is potentially the worst movie I have ever had the misfortune to "choose" to go and see and it has taken the title from The Blair Witch Project that is equally crap
I went because of the marketing campaign and can admit that

In my opinion, all you folks who claim you liked it are either to embarrassed to admit it was a pile of warm, runny, dog poo or you think you have some kind of artistic appreciation that makes you cool

I'm sure there is an instance of some supposed artist who tipped some rubbish on the floor of an art gallery somewhere, rearranged it and called it ART well those who liked this film will probably think it's an amazing exhibit

Well your opinion is a pile of warm, runny dog poo - so there!

I can pick holes in the film as well as the next person (the parasites were a bit weak, I've already mentioned the shakey cam works well in some places but not others) but I enjoyed it.

"Its still alive"

I also watched Hitman and Catacombs last night. Hitman better than expected. Catacombs complete sh1te but quite alot of ***** out scenes.

Simply not true! I'm the first to admit to myself if I don't like something and I'm certainly not one of these wannabe artist type gits. I couldn't give a fvck about 'art'.

Havn't seen Hitman but you're bang on with Catacombs, it was so bad, that even tho, as you say EddScott, it is full of nice *****, I turned it off after about 45 min's... how bad is that

Bye the way, my opinion is not warm, runny, dog poo... it's more like slushy, green, cow turd... if you ask me but then that's just my opinion

Back on the topic of Cloverfield, the filming does nothing for the viewer other than lose their interest, it's the only movie I've went to where people walked out because it was such a pile of sh*t. We waited to the end because we kept thinking it would get better, boy did we get a suck

My advice to anyone who is interested... do not waste 90 minutes of you life on this crap Better to stick pins in your eyes, it's much more fun

You have to wait until the end of the credits for the easter egg. They take 4 minutes to run through!

Aladygma is rumoured to be the sequel or the codename for Cloverfield 2 or some supernatural tale JJ Abrams is working on.

Can't wait to see what he does with Star Trek

I thought Hitman was pants really - they tried to take bits from the Bourne movies but it didn't really pay off IMO. And as for the scene where Agent 47 takes a bird out to do some shopping - what the hell were they thinking ?? He's an international secret assassin, not a bloody namby pamby 90s man, jeez. What next for Hitman 2 - flower arranging ??
Anyway, back on topic seems that Cloverfield really is a 'marmite' film, but I can understand why people who saw it at the cinema didn't like it, I think it works better on the small screen.

We wen t to see it a few weeks back,

I thought it was ok in places, and absolute drivel in others.

the mrs hated it from the opening scenes, the shaky camera setup gave her motion sickness

this film would have been miles better if the wan*y cam had been used very sparingly.

there were some huge gaffes in the plot, and things that just wouldnt happen.

Spoiler.........................

the soldier, who just happens to let them go when they get caught, yea right

and they happen to have a load of hueys waiting to evac stragglers

wouldn't happen.....

and the biggest cop out....

if there looking at the tape from an analysis point of view. where or what happened to the Kracken??? we all saw "clash of the titans"

i suppose it will be better on DVD as we can watch it more closely

*Dont want to ruin anyones viewing pleasure so look away now*.......................

I thought it was gonna be a big monkey type thing in a mad mood, but it was just a big squid with a face like a slapped crab,
surly throwing salt on it would of popped it like a slug
Id of kicked its ***, not like them big softy's going *arhhhhh run, ohhh myyy what was that noise, lets just wait and see if its something that isnt going to eat us *

Just get in there and give it a good judo chop to the squid ribs, and night nighty my fishy friend

Easy peasy lemon squeezey!

Im off to bed now, a tad tipsy like

I watched this today and quite liked it.
Its refreshing to see films that dont have the usual God Bless America happy ending.

wherever I have read comments about it, its all "yea, coz, like, the batteries would never last that long in the camera.....and like...the army wouldnt really have done that....and its soooo unrealistic where the monster .........."

Its a fiction FILM, its not actually real life.
