They will fit as long as you have standard wrx brakes and not sti brakes. That what I run my car on at Blyton last time I attended.

Pathetic

Maybe if I'd spent 6 months posting drivel they'd have been more welcoming.

Spectate. But if I decide to go on, would it incur any extra fees?

Thanks

Spectating is just a fiver, if you go on then the same equal share as everyone else, £30-40, less your spectating fee. I suppose if you decide late in the day to have a couple of laps we might come to an arrangement, but I don't want to get into a part-day pricing kurfuffle.

Rostered to work on this date and to get Saturday leave you need to book off 27 hours before the saturday or after

Will see how fixed for the later Blyton.

Or on very rare times Saturday leave sometimes comes available the week before the date in question.

After Pistonheads decided they wouldn't let me ask their members along to our day I've just revisited one of my other posts on ClubGTi and been greeted with...

This was where a guy I've never heard of stated he'd been to Blyton many times with us but objected to us asking for £5 to spectate. I don't think they must have liked my explanation that it was to raise some club funds to pay for the BBQ, free food and drink, and other facilities provided on the day by a club he wasn't part of.

There loss mate, we just need a bilboard stating no ClubGTI or pistonheads members welcome, its shocking that other clubs and forums wont let there members have freedom of choice.

but hey ho! their loss mate. you always sort out a spot on event and we all know how much fun these days are

I still got my copy of Banzai too

I asked them politely for an explanation, and even logged in under a new username and asked politely to explain. They banned me again, reason : none, Lifted : never !

I must have really upset them

I think they've banned my IP address this time as I can't even get on the home page

From Club GTi....

The second account was deleted as forum users are not allowed two accounts, the truth reads a little differently from your posts on Scooby-net, but judging by the inaccuracies in some of your other posts I’m not really surprised.

The issue was never the fact that it would cost me £5 to attend, it was that the event would clearly run at a profit however modest it my be. We arrange many trackdays throughout the year and these are on a very strict non-profit basis, they are run for members and forum users and not to generate revenue for the club.

Once again you are free to use the club Gti forum within the rules but will not be allowed to advertise trackdays unless they can be proved to be on a non-profit basis

Regards

Daz

My reply......

Daz,

Having spoken to five ex-CGTi members I believe the way your site is now being run then I would prefer to part now. Cancel my account and I shall not make the day available to you or your members in future. They are welcome to come along via association with any other forum, but CGTi is banned from any event I organise.

The club incurs some expense when arranging these days. Gazebo's at over £300, BBQ's and their associated sundries, the food and drink, this year we shall have a caravan to provide shelter and support. All these things cost money to acquire and transport to any venue we use and that money comes from somewhere. Even though I am a printer by trade I cannot get money by any magic. If you know better then please advise. The only other solution would be to arrange catering on the day, and maybe people wouldn't object to £5 burgers, £1 cans of Coke and whatever else ?

You say I wasn't banned, but the message which greeted me during my 'unexplained' expulsion from your site was...

I'm sorry, but if I am misunderstanding, that looks like BANNED......FOREVER ! If you have reversed the decision then why not tell me why in the first place and why you have reversed it. Is it because you over-reacted and have since realised a mistake ? If so, are you man enough to offer an explanation and/or apology ? Or do you prefer to just lay all the blame at my door and hope I go away ? Your wish is now granted as these are my last words on the affair. I do hope any of your members post a great many pics of the fun had by the WYIOC and its friends at our event, and we shall continue to do so, WITHOUT YOU.

GOODBYE !
