Well a decision has been made on the land next door, and wit no objections raised......... They rejected it.

So it turns out if you object they grant it, if you ignore it they deny it.
Grounds for this time is....
Conditions or Reasons: The proposal, by reason of poor outlook from a significant number of habitable room windows, small rooms sizes and an unacceptable sense of enclosure, would create substandard residential accommodation for future residents and would represent an over development of the site, contrary to Policies URB 3 Urban Design and HSG 5 Layout and Design of New Residential Development in the adopted Unitary Development Plan (July 2004) and the Residential Development Standards: SPD (August 2006).

Yup something like that mate. They guy was honest about it when I spoke with them a few weeks back, saying what they had permission for was fine, but more is always better.
Not sure where we are going now though.
Previous granted permission was for a different property type I think, so was hoping the new proposal for a traditional type building was going to go up, just not with as many people in it as planned.

The denied proposal is here.
http://acolnet.lewisham.gov.uk/LEWIS...ystemkey=60088

Just checked and remembered that the modern looking building was never accepted as the application was rejected as the cheque bounced.
The current owner is sure he has permission for a smaller build though, weird.

In the house I have always lived in. We were only evacuated for a week while the ground settled.

We have spoken at length about the past issues, the subsidence etc and he says he has plans in place to prevent further damage, and will get full surveys done to assume responsibility for any further damage that may occur.

Yeah seems that way, but that said looking at one of his other projects and the workers he employs I'm not so sure lol.
The last lot employed non English speaking eastern Europeans. This one employs non English speaking Chinese workers who secretly live on site lol.
Seems to take responsibility though, that's a start.

Main thing Snazy is that he is talking to you in a sensible sounding manner. Stick with it and you may get something worthwhile in the end.

Can only cross my fingers and hope for the best mate. He also said he would stay in regular contact, but have not heard anything recently.
Hoping I will hear from him first hand some time soon to find out whats going on with the place and what they are doing next.

Cheers mate. Just got word that revamp work is starting shortly on my property anyway, so as long as they dont screw my house up when their work finally starts, I will be happy.

Huh, wish the bloke at our place was like that.
The ar$e got permission to turn the barn behind us into a bungalow. He only went and dug a great big cellar, then built a two story on the barn site. Council let him get away with it You want to see the cracks that have started to appear in our property.
No idea where to take this, to be honest.
Good luck to you

I just emailed every local person from mayor to councillor and finally got talking to the right people.

Just hope everything is done in the right order, piling goes in before refurb only house starts etc.

Guess what !!

The house 4 doors down that they were last working on........... JUST COLLAPSED!!

Leaving persons trapped inside this time!
10 fire engines, command centre, ambulances and supervisors, police and air ambulance on site, and main South Circular road closed.

Well done these people. Time for someone to go to prison!

No idea what the hell is going on there at the mo mate. I know it changed hands, but not sure if old crew are still involved.
All I have heard so far is whats been said about a rescue underway, and persons trapped. Was an active building site, so imagine unless there was a warning, there would have been a few in there. Recently been doing basement works AGAIN !

The whole front of the house was removed a few weeks back, so im guessing the heavy rain yesterday was the final straw.

meanwhile im stuck at work and just relying on second hand info

Getting silly now.
Curious to see how much damage there is this time, and if the whole building will be a total loss again.

Thankfully its far enough away not to damage my house any further, unless there is a bloody great sink hole slowly opening up!

Air ambulance taking one of them would usually suggest pretty serious, but hopefully not TOO serious.

Image attached, red X is the plot they last ruined, you can see part of the wreckage still there from the shot I think, and the arrow points to the latest victim.

Can be found on map sites under SE23 2UD
