[quote=urban;7573302]Hi,
Since I already have the prodrive performance pack for my MY05 STI, I take it that means I fall into the licensed EcuTek map?
Shaun[/quo
Shaun we havent met but despite several assurances both here and on the general forum you seem doubtful. Perhaps this re-mapping thing is not for you.
The slot is available should you want it, if not thats ok too. Paul

Mapping will just release the true potential of your car well within its limits!

I would regard Andy as being amongst some of the best mappers out there.
A standard car with the wrong bits fitted and even bog standard cars do let go if they're not running right. Or fitted with a lot of crap that messes up air flow scaling, advances timing to far leans out fuelling etc, etc... exhaust manifold and induction kits, classic example fitted to many a car without having necessary adjustments made, Uusal reply "I know someone that done it and his is OK" or "Joe Bloggs on forum x,y,z says its OK" then people wonder why these cars have a reputation for "Blowing Up"
This country is full of "Subaru specialists" some basing knowledge on what their mate has done or what someone on a forum says is OK to do.
Thing is some people are more inclined to listen to wrong advice given on a forum than what a few of the genuine "Subaru Specialists" that actually do this work and achieve results to prove it advise them.
As far as mapping goes I would not hesitate to use Andy Forrest
Rant over, off for my medication
Cheers

Just back after a week off and have the money to do this.
i have a standard 02 STI and all i want is a remap so it will run better on 97 ron fuel. Which of the remap options do i need to go for? I have no intention of getting a further reamp or any work done at a later date.
Mark
ps deposit awaits.

Mark,
I've got the PPP on my MY05 STI.
You'll need to be gong for the new map including license (£500) - same as me.
Even though the PPP is EcuTek remapped, apparently Prodrive specifically requested that a further remap would need the initial license fee paid.
Suggest you call Paul directly and try for a slot - his number is at the start of the post.

How many are being remapped - its all gone quiet.
How many will be mapped per day.
I presume its still on for the original 2 dates?
My STI panel filter & plugs recommended by Andy just arrived into work.
They're getting fitted next week together with a service, so I'm pretty much ready.

When Ricky weighs in we'll have 7 total. Thats probably the maximum number. Will depend really how smoothly things go.
Will all you guys be on site to drive your own car during mapping? If so we would really need to organise some times so as you wont be standing around all day if you dont want to. There will be tea/coffee and some wee buns to keep ya'll happy

great, can someone clear an issue up? ive read in the main forum that whilst mapping live there are runs with both normal and load is this true or a load of crap? just if this is true do we need extra peeps there.
