It's funny what appeals to one doesnt to another. Of the ones I have seen recently:

Good:

Them
The Hills Have Eyes
The Descent
Saw 1
The Ring 1 + 2

OK
Saw 2 + 3

Very Bad
Jeepers Creepers 1 + 2
Hard Candy
Hostel
Wolf Creek

Hard Kandy wasnt listed as a horror was it? It was a hard hitting, thought provoking, thriller. I quite enjoyed it really, something different and leg crossing lol

The worse thing I watched from memory, I really couldnt bare to look at the screen for that long, but was dragged to watch Legally Blonde 2 once. That scared me for life

Paranormal Activities 3 was a bit unsettling, if not the best horror film. I saw it in the picture halls. My popcorns went up in the air when some unknown shadow darted across parents' bedroom in the film.

Hmm, maybe not horror but one film I have no intention of watching which is really gruesome is "A Serbian Film". Details on Wikipedia but I warn you, it ain't nice! Banned in most countries.

I was 9 when I first watched An American Werewolf in London on a Betamax video! LOL. To this day i still get a fear walking across open fields at night, but I quite thrive on it now (30 yrs later!!!)

I love horror films there have been some good ones listed in the last 2 pages. Jaws is my favourite of all time though without question!

Got to be The Exorcist. Bearing in mind it was made around 1970.

Me neither. I'm more a thriller/suspense fan, but I haven't seen anything to give me a scare/put me on the edge of the seat in ages.

I look forward to the new Mission Impossible:Ghost Protocol. It sounds like a cross between an awesome thriller and blood-freezing horror. Even if it is just one of them, I hear that Tom Cruise keeps people on the edge of their seats with his real stunts. Can't wait.

Not sure it would be my thing, but sometimes it's better to watch something you're not sure about. I doubt it can be worse than some of the tripe I watched fairly recently.

Thats what I am hoping, Lisa. I saw The Debt lately, and that didn't impress me much. I waited for Mirren to handle a gun or two (she said on Ross's show that she did use a gun in the film), but it was not visible at all in the box office version.

I happened to catch some talk of the new Mission Imposible:Ghost Protocol on Sky News. Tom Cruise was talking himself to Sky News for ages. What a beautiful guy! His co-star said that Cruise has done most stunts by himself for this film. He was asked why he didn't perform some stunts himself. He said, "Look, its up to Tom if he wants to climb the walls. I just went shopping while he did all that."

Sorry to deviate, folks. Please carry on with the talk of the horror films while I go shopping.

Watched The Woman last night.... there is a lot wrong with it, but the family and especially the father are peculiarly creepy and the storyline is good enough to keep you watching. Very low budget and a few audio mix issues, but worth a go ... better than the usual horor fodder right now.

Stakeland is still my favourite horror of the last 12 months though!

You'e right, that was pretty good in its day.

If we can include TV then The Walking Dead is well worth a watch
