yea def not considering a jeep at all tbh and not a saloon as spacial awarness as proven, isnt a girls best friend so a hatchback it must be. good helpfull comments so far guys but Renault have a great saftey record and ncap awards but as far as reliabilty they have always been at the bottom of the top gear list as voted by the public who drive them.

im sure there are some that slipped through the net and were actually made as per sketch but all in all as far as reliability they have for as long as i remember been bad in comparison to jap cars so if it was my choice it would be japanese everytime.

similiar thoughts
My better half also decided that her Astra was crap in the snow last week, so on Monday evening we test drove the new Subaru's.
Her words not mine!!
'The 1.5 sucks, no power, the worst thing she has ever driven.' The 2.0 R, 'great' so much better than the 1.5, puts a smile on your face, but without the 'in your face' of the previous model. and fairly cheap to insure, Endsliegh quoted £168 fully comp.
Next car.
No contest
Subaru's all the way. I will welcome her to the mad house.

well today was the day we test drove the 2.0rx impreza 2008 and to be honest with the spec list its actually a good car.
* 5 Speed Dual-Range manual or 4 speed Auto gearbox with Sportshift
* Driver, Front Passenger, Side and Curtain airbags
* ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution
* Subaru Vehicle Dynamics Control
* Remote Central Locking with Thatcham Category 1 Alarm and Immobiliser
* HID Xenon headlamps with automatic levelling
* Pop-up headlamp washers
* Rear privacy glass
* Cruise control with steering wheel control
* Keyless smart entry with push-button start
* Emergency Brake Assist
* Colour coded Door handles and mirrors
* Electric windows and heated electric door mirrors
* Climate Control Air Conditioning
* 17" Alloy Wheels
* DVD Sat Nav/CD/MP3/WMA RDS Radio with 10 speakers and steering wheel control
* Priced from just £17,495 OTR
the wife really seemed to like it tbh,but then came the civic 1.8vtec ex which she liked just as much although both had there good and bad points.The spec was quite high on this model too almost the same actually apart from bluetooth kit in the honda.
So hopefully by monday she will decide.
