loud exhausts

Got the APS DR series 3.5" race system on mine, noise tested to 100dB.
Plenty loud enough for me
Sound clip of it down to the bottom of the webpage.

I came home to find a big brown box with "Blitz Nurbeurgring Exhaust System Circuit Performance" all over it! Don't you just love it when Santa brings something late

I have Borla Un-Equal headers, full decat, afterburner straight through centre section and a lovely angled Vortex.
The strange 'clicking/rasping/buzzing' sound it makes on its first drive past in the video clip at 11 seconds is something mine does all the time too, thought it was just my car, but obviously not.
Mine sounds the same on idle and everything, including volume.
Pretty impressed to say mine is N/A. (exhaust system cost enough in total mind you, but i think its worth it)

I spoke to my neighbours about my exhaust, only one was being awkward until I pointed out his next door neighbour has a TVR with a monsterous V8 and virtually straight through exhausts - and the fact that it's probably louder than mine.
I am running a straight through Blitz from the turbo down with stock STi headers now and it is deafening at times. Not so much high pitched, leaning more towards a bassy sound, kind of like a mini earthquake... until the bloke in his TVR starts his car up
I told my neighbours if they were not happy I would change the exhaust but almost all like the car and don't mind it.
The Blitz in my book is the best looking and sounding exhaust but in this day and age of PC'nesses I am changing my system in the near future for something a bit easier on the ears and my kids.
Loudest I have heard in person has to be the Monster Mega exhaust, one piece straight through from the turbo down mated to a 4.5" exhaust, ear splitting sound with a maddening screech at the top end. Try Jap Performance Parts as they seem to have a few of the crazy jap exhausts.

LOL,
Infraction for insulting a member,
Nice phrase given the pejorative term used (think about it)

I have a Nur Spec R and my brother has a 5zeigen Fireball. I'd probably say the Blitz is a bit louder, but i prefer the sound of the 5zeigen.
Although i might be getting a nice quiet one soon, as i am planning on doing a few track days, and loud exhausts on tracks are a big no-no.
Elmer - real shame mate. I used to really admire your cars, they always looked fantastic, and you had some good input on this site. Not sure what has happened with you, but it is a real shame when people on here start trolling and putting down others.
Feel free to come back at me with a sarcastic remark, just saying its a shame thats all.

if you have a classic just pull down the rear seats to make it louder for you, without having to subject the rest of the world to it as well. it's a bit like the walkman syndrome, you may think that people want to hear whats coming from the headphones, but really they don't!

You removed a Fujitsubo Super TI which the car came when you had the RA after me and replaced it with something weighing twice as much, just because it was louder. Pretty much sums up the mentality of the loud brigade.
