any boddy on here got a loud exhaust? im wanting a loud exhaust, iv got a afterburner vortex on at min fully decatted but it aint very loud. although these are supposed to be loud exhaust mine isnt.

 

You sure your not deaf as the Afterburners are quite loud for most people?

 

blitz nur spec is most people's choice for loudness, usually followed by the vortex???

 

Blitz nur spec without the bung is quite loud enough, any louder and you would be compromising the hearing of any rear seat passenger

 

i no the vortex is a loud exhaust, i was once talking to someone who had one and could not believe why mine was so quite. and yeh the nur spec r sounds realy nice. is there any more or is there just them too? cheers

Simply obtain a straight through job... no silencers or cat.... a fellow GTVV6 owner used to have one.... extremely loud!

 

I've got a Full Trust/Greddy exhaust from the turbo back, no silencer or anything! May not be the loudest but its the nicest scooby noise i've ever heard!!!

 

5Zigen will wake the dead, much louder than a blitz

 

surely if you go to loud then you will get alot of attention from the police.

I have a mongoose single backbox 3" reemed out twin and sounds alot better than most scoobys I've heard and looks better to my opinion.

 

if you want loud, just remove the exhaust completely

I have a loud ****** but it was with the car and it was fitted in japan so don't have a clue.

 

yeh i was thinking about cutting the silencer and taking the baffles out! the problem is getting it welded back up because it would rust on the joints

 

I've got full Afterburner with Prodrive Sports CAT and it's LOUD enough for me!!

 

yet mines not without any cats, isnt that weird the one iv got has the spiralled baffel though. well bet they all have

you sure there isn't any packaging somewhere in the exhaust?
I had this once when I fitted a decat pipe.
Straight away I thought 'this feels like I have lost power?' Then, when I gave it a boot, I felt something fly through the whole system, which then covered the car behind in black cardboard particles!

i would'nt of thought so iv had the exhaust on the car around 10 month, and its had its fair share of abuse when i get to open it out! plus its been on a dyno. maybe its how its supposed to sound but its no where near as loud as a blitz

ive gone through about 4 systems on my two turbo scoobs.

back in 2006 i had a silver wrx with a ninja backbox, afterburner decat centre and downpipe. very nice noise, and quite loud too.

on my current red uk turbo, ive had an sti sysem it came with. very quiet but a little oomph on full chat. then had a scoobybits full decat fitted. about as loud as the vortex, but a very distinctive sound. that was replaced by a blitz nur spec-r. this thing is insance couple with the scoobybits decat downpipe.

if a zigen is supposed to be louder, id love to see/hear proof, i very much doubt it.

I have a 3" RCM Team Ice system with no centre res and have a sports cat. Thats LOUD!!

But as Angus has said I've also heard a full de-cat Team Ice system and that is fecking LOUD!!
