Rab, im leaning more and more to the fact that its an STi ver1, alloy cam pulleys and a closed deck block i notice, make sure you have the correct head gaskets mate! PM me them codes when you get a chance!I rebuilt mine last year mate and bought blueprint gaskets! The closed deck block uses a different gasket i got mine at Roger Clark Motorsport - Home or GGR do the ones for a closed deck block if you can afford it fit an RCMS oil pump 150quid iirc Subaru Parts at Graham Goode Racing

Started the rebuild today

Heres some of the new parts getting fitted



Short block with oil and water pumps fitted

oil pick up refitted and ready for the sump



Fitting the heads



one done







Both heads fitted and torqued

Few other bits and bobs fitted but camera battery went flat so back at it again tomorrow.

Back down at it today but not for as long as had planned
started to bolt on a few more bits and bobs
Cam shafts back in


Crank sprocket and water ways fitted



engine mounts replaced and stainless steel sump bolts



Still waiting on my timing belt and unorthodox racing lightened crank pulley arriving
