Pleased for you.

I've only just seen this thread otherwise I would have put your mind at rest by saying that I experienced EXACTLY the same scenario as you and that everything turned out OK with respect to liability. The fact that you took pics with your phone would no doubt have helped.

My personal injury claim is ongoing however, I have an MRI next week to establish how screwed up my lower back is.

She is blatantly in the wrong, anyone with half a brain will think Roundabout, left lane > cutting across right lane = dangerous driving.

yay well done!

I had a car crash 2 years ago luckily the police had to come out and the other person admitted liability then 2 weeks later she changed her mind! and still 2 years and 5 months later i've still not been paid out, luckily the police would give evidence for me

glad you got it sorted!

Well B20, you did well to stick it out and I hope you get full compensation in all respects.

Nice one - glad you stuck to your guns.

Another word of warning is that when this kind of thing happens, be wary when you move off to a safer place...

I got rear ended at a traffic light in the Evo the other day - saw it all happening in the mirror and even eased forward a bit at anticipation of impact. Got out, took a pic of the van in my car and checked the damage. He apologised profusely and suggested we move off somewhere better. I went first and that was the last I saw of him!!!

I had memorised his number and van model, but to be honest with you, I have enough time consuming hassles in my life at the mo', and as there was no damage (bumper popped back out). Also you unfairly get a black mark for even being in a no fault accident, so I've let it go. It's enough fighting the government who want to fine you at every turn for something, let alone fighting something that has had no negative consequence to me. Given the time though I'd have 'ad him, gone to the cops, given a ststement, written the letters etc etc

I'm going through something at the moment. Accident on 30th November and the 3rd party is being "quiet". My brokers said.... These matters are usually resolved quite quickly when they get the court papers.

I'm beginning to think I should have handled the entire thing differently. To put it bluntly, "softly and politely whilst recording everything said".

All too often, I find the main issue is "money". Once people have had a chance to assess the impact of liability, they either deny it or put off facing it for as long as possible. Not necessarily an evil thing, just human nature.

EXACTLY the same thing happened to me two years ago. Apparently I'd 'cut across' him when exiting in the right hand lane... whilst he wanted to go around the roundabout again in the left lane.

Silly poo-brown Skoda man.

Full liability accepted by him after nine months of arguing.
