Many aftermarket ECU installs have a charge temp probe as part of the package. GEMS and Autronic do, infact Autronic relies heavily on it.

Zen P. in your vast experience would you advise on using a hybrid for between 500-550hp?

Or?

Cheers

Jiggery-pokery may be...
- The original mount isn't meant to take boost. ISTR it's a simple rubber bung/grommet. Hence something more robust would be needed.
- It's not in an optimal position given mount FMIC cold side goes up the LHS of the car. Wiring would need re-jigging or extending.

PS: Why would one do it? Does the ECU not use this info?

OK mate no worries... glad you've chilled out now...
I know what your saying about some people on here, there are some on here that are time wasters, and full of ****... Were not all like them...
Sadly I had to sell the car on in August this year to Rossi P... He is now perfecting the awesome spec with a proper gearbox... ££££ lol

If money was no object I would have gone for a named fmic, but value for money wise... the HYBRID fmic is great... and it does the job...

It wouldn't be a bad choice, you will get a cooler charge temp with some other bigger coolers, but sometimes it's overkill and you're just adding weight to the car unneccesarily. The hyperflow FMIC on a classic is a nice size, and not too much money, but some of the newage kits seem (to me) to be needlessly large.

I have a hybrid core on my car.

The Hybrid hard piping doesn't weather to well I've heard... but I kept on top of cleaning under the bonnet on mine... All was good bar the odd mark making it fit...
I think some on here have had there piping powder coated or changed the pipework all together...

the hybrid hard pipes are much better now as they are just polished aluminium rather than the chrome, which used to flake badly after a year or so.
