and what does it equate to price wise?

xxx MS points might be all well and good, but whats it in £

£1? £2? £4? £7?

i see loads of content for download, but want to know how much in £ before i commit

just renting the DVD might be cheaper

I've not looked at the film prices yet, but 500 Ms points is £4.25.

Me too. I'll download it again for £1.00 tho just to see what the quality is like and the kind of download speed to expect. I have to say tho that my lovefilm membership won't be getting cancelled anytime soon if they continue to charge over £4.00 for films... you can almost rent 3 HD DVDs/Bluerays per month for that!

Yeah, they originally only reduced the price of the SD version. Looks like they've fixed it now.

Your right but it seems hardly anyone can get on live at the moment. What a complete **** up on MS part. Hope they extend the offer as I really wanted to test the quality of the HD movies.

Started watching as its downloading, and yep no 5.1 sound Pic is good tho. But the usual price of over £4.00 is a joke considering you get no 5.1 . It will be my last download until the prices drop!

Its 80p for a limited period only! The normal cost of over £4.00 will also be non 5.1. What is the point in spending the money on a HD TV etc only to have a pro logic sound track you clown. I rent bluerays and HD DVDs for £2.00 a go from Lovefilm, for double that i would at least expect 5.1. So stop moaning at me, its fools like you that accept sub standard sh*te like this that keep the money men at MS smiling.

i wonder if they did this to try and "fix" the problems they were having??

i got my 300 on the launch day when it all kicked off so maybe they changed the files around when they removed HD training day etc etc

Maybe read the posts above, not all offerings are 5.1, but most are, i agree it seems strange to promote a movie that isnt, but meh, it tells you before you download if it's stereo or 5.1

Im confused. I went to download 300 for 100ms points and only the SD version was available, the HD version was 540ms points. So i downloaded the sd version.

Did the HD version become available at 100ms points?
