Why is there so many programmes about road crime? It's not the only crime in the UK, why don't they do more programmes about Neds filming their pals kicking the **** out of pensioners and school mates etc? To me those happy slapping crimes are far more serious than a biker going at whatever speed it was on an empty road etc!

load of bollox - the third panelist was taken out by someone driving out without looking - he says he only pulled a few ligaments - I reckon he must have bashed his head a few times as well

The rozzer said that these web sites are aimed at young males, and 30% of fatal road accidents involve young male drivers, so it must be caused by the websites...... erm - When I started driving in 1987 there was no internet - how come every single one of a bunch of ten of us managed to have a crash of some description within the first 6 months???????? Must have been playing Pole position on the C64

Where I used to live there was a dual carriageway nearby (big fences up the sides of it and plenty bridges and tunnels to cross it) They reduced the limit from NSL to 50 (as they'd got themselves nice new scameras) the scameras were on them from 7am -7pm to catch joe worker going to work doing 55, though at night the neds raced up and down it at whatever speed their heaps could do, what did they do about that? Nowt, even though the Neds were killing themselves racing on it at 4am

Thought the programme was a joke TBH. Quite obviously a tunnel run on the Imprezas clip, more than likely low gear and within the speed limit. Then cut back to the 'experts' who say they are quite obviously racing, what **** knockers. Obviously not racing. Then QW was inbedded with some racers 'on a deserted industrial estate', hardly endangering any inocent bystanders.

Plato was obviously on message as well. Describing one guy as having zero levels of skill? Anyone barreling around a corner over a ton one handed obviously has skill, just a crap driving style.

Feel sorry for the bloke who was run over, but hey, crossing a road at night not on a crossing, was the guy pissed or something, he didn't look deaf or blind to me?

There was examples of complete suicidal driving, but the laws are already in place to deal with these morons, however the courts seem to pass very leniant sentences. I don't agree with the wally on the expert panel calling for more legislation.

think the point about negative selection of material is 100% correct.

1. Get a group of low IQ ***** and follow them to a desrted industrial estate then film them. Of course they do doughnuts, burnouts, drag racing (but what were they actually insructed to do)?

2. Show footage of videos to a panel of 'experts' (A fat over the hill copper, edmund King of the RAC and an ex-speeder ) then cut between panel and vid to make it look bad.

3. Find footage of a stolen 'hot hatch', taken by copper-chopper and claim its a 'boy racer'

Overall for 30 mins it was a total crock of media manipulated ****e

Nice hatchet-job ITV, well edited to push your own message across. The only thing they were missing was some mentalist from brake on the panel.

The cherry on the cake was Jason Plato telling them they were dangerous and would crash. I've seen you race at Brands hatch and hit every bloody car on the circuit Mr. Plato. Remember the Laguna your team built for you out of all the panels you dented you patronising monkey?

See I love this. Get a shockumentary about immigrants, Islamists, teenage mothers etc and NSR are foaming at the mouth about the crap state of society today and how they should all be shot. Get one about Impreza drivers and boy racers, and NSR start going on about how one-sided it was and not a fair reflection of the truth.

All good wholesome stuff

Although I don't agree with the useless way ITV reported the story, I think some of the things shown were very stupid.

I've seen that stretch of road before with people hammering up and down it. I'm amazed something like the vid they showed in the US hasn't happened. Do it by all means but some of them should get together and attempt some crowd control.

IMO, the tunnel run wasn't really racing. When I had my Impreza, I'd always wind the window down through a tunnel (I'll do it again when I get another!) but having kids in the car wasn't the best idea.

I'm no saint and I have done some stupid things in a car and will do again. I just think its hard to justify doing some of the things shown.

Quite liked the black scooby donut mind!

Agree with the Plato comment. Injured or not he drove like a complete **** in the last BTCC race of this year.

PS - how could that black scooby make such a tight donut? Looked like a WRX so doubt it had DCCD.
