Yup

You seem very quick to quote on things that have been witnessed and recorded by others - just wondering what your personal experiences are.
My personal experiences are largely irrelevant, they aren't recorded or otherwise verifiable so mean little to anybody other than me. But for what it's worth, they confirmed my suspiscions that mediums are frauds of the first order.

I don't beleive in magic - but do find Derren Brown VERY entertaining and amazingly mind blowing.
What do you mean by "magic" in this context? You don't believe in stage magicians, or supernatural powers?

What i chose to beleive in is what comforts me - and likewise anyone else - maybe you shouldn't be so quick to dismiss!
I find no comfort in other people's pain when they find out they have been defrauded.

Did this Colin Fry manage to solve any crimes in the Psychic Private Eye program he did? I watched one program where he told a couple that their son had been brutally beaten before being thrown in the harbour. The police could find no evidence of foul play. Don't know if you know much about forensic pathology, but you could beat someone until they were nearly dead, drown them and then burn them in a fire, and the pathologist would still be able to determine with reasonable accuracy what had happened. It was obvious from the start of the program that the parents wanted to hear that their son hadn't simply thrown himslf in, and this was exactly what he told them. If he was that good, would he not be able to tell who did it as well?

I agree with alot of what your saying - I don't read my horoscopes, and on the rare occasion I have done - i feel it is utter crap! And also - alot of mediums reading is very vague and could also apply to anyone - including the one my partner went to see - she started off with saying how we had been talking of moving (which we have) and how he's looking to change his job (which he was and has) - however, those things appeal to 99.9% of folk - it was the rest of the reading that quite frankly blew me away. Her referring to my daughter as Lillian? Knowing how many children my partner had and their sexes when they don't all live with us - having every single name of people who had died in my partners family, and its not like their names were John or Fred or common names! She was very specific down to the theme of my brothers funeral, the colours of flowers chosen! My partner was too sceptical to give her anything, didn't say a word and no amount of body language could of told her the things she knew!
I haven't been to see Colin Fry previously - a friend of mine has but had no personal reading made - she just said it was good!
My personal experiences of mediums - or at least the one in specific - do lead me to think that maybe this is a gift that some people have - based purely on personal experience as opposed to TV programmes and written documents. It is not my objective to "proove" one way or another which is true and which is false - but merely to share with you all that I'm going to see Colin Fry!!! LOL
