BTW, seriously - SN closed for a day out of respect for Caroline T-S. I thought that was a nice touch.
Oh yeah. Why has no-one yet mentioned the great social experiment that was the CWE forum?

While the book sounds parochial and turgid in the extreme it would at least provide more of an insight into the mind of the webmaster. That being the case I'll wait with unbaited breath for it's release.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Mike "rainbowman" Rainbird yet.
He of the 500 bhp cossie and 80's style
Great guy - had the brief pleasure of meeting him in person.
Posting back then - now THAT was banter...

Mike is already in the book!
The secret flamer kit was legendary!

Law suits! Yeah, I've written a chapter on how everyone who's tried to sue me has strangely ended up dissapearing in unusual circumstances. I'm hoping that should put a few off!

you should allow the users to add a few chapters, describing how you threatened to sue them

Oooohhh be careful Simon!! I for one will hand over some e-readies for this e-book of revelations!
Great to see so many of the old-timers are still around... hello all!
Will the book be serialised in some tabloid? Or maybe you can post a chapter a day on the Scoobynet Facebook group
Richard

I got to say I can't wait for more material to read. I'm sat here pissing myself, just thinking of some of the funny stories I have heard over the years...
The Harj business was well..... Lol
Bob and the Pro-drive thread was funny. There are some real classics out there
There are some real characters that have used this BBS, over the years.
Hurry up and post us a bit more as a taster
Can't wait, Phill
