Most of the programmes I watch are not live, i record on V+. You'd be amazed how long you spend watching an 'hour long', programme. Around 30 mins if you fast forward the ads, credits and most annoyingly the 1 minute summation following the ad break of what has previously happened before the break.

Even on BBC channels you get loads of adverts between the shows, what's on next week or later on etc.

It drives me mad, and then the 'Sponsored by.......' and the Main Titles are always about 5 mins long! Grrrrrrrrrr.....

Why are soaps etc sponsored by chocolate manufacturers?

Isn`t the government trying to decrease obesity?

As I said, my TV automatically keeps the volume at a constant level, thank goodness.
