From: Slowly rebuilding the kit of bits into a car...
No "we" got 392 at 1.65 bar (ecu limited !)
Worst figure ever for a H !
God only knows what the 2 bar produced for the fifteen seconds it took to go from 0 to sixth gear,EKKK!
LOL
dunx
P.S. The engine has "issues" but pulls like a train really.... my tame Ev* mechanic said on Monday, "Well it's the quickest Subaru I've been in", damning with faint praise or what ?

So 'normally' the H really does make over 400 on V-Power then?! Is that right?
I can't believe there's not at least one other H out there with less the 392! Surely there must be?

Looks like that is a 3rd gear run and the ecu cant send enough samples through to make the data that accurate, hence why it plays catch up on the next point and over inflates that. The true figures are probably around the 410 WHP mark. (assuming the weight of the car, wheel size, tyre sizes and drag co-efficient are correct)
Dunc,
I think its one of those road dyno graphs, but with weight increased by 23% to give some sort of fly output - but the wheel power title gets left behind, which confuses things.

321H often makes less than 400hp in my experience.
Typically on a rolling road...
321h, standard airbox, standard headers, tmic = 360-380hp
321h, induction kit, FMIC, good tubular headers = 390-410hp
Variations in between of course, but don't expect to get 400hp just because you've put on a 321H.

Joz, Yeah it's on the STI 2.0L running only V-Power!
Butty/Dynamix, that result was from JGM's laptop, and was a 3rd gear run
The 'proper' result could be better or worse obviously depending which RR I try.

Hybrid FMIC with CAIK
750cc Flow Matched Injectors
AVCR Boost Controller
MD321T Turbo
RCM Headers
CDF Light Weight Pulley Set
ECUtek remap by JGM
I beleive if I change the centre section to a 3" system, I should see slightly better gains.

Couldn't agree more m8, the same could be said for all of the turbos out there. Just because a turbo is capable of 400, 500, 600, don't think for one second that all will achieve those numbers.
A good rule of thumb is to expect 20-30bhp LESS than the headline figure that the manufacturer/supplier quotes. That way, you're unlikely to get too miffed if it don't make that headline figure...
Or, obviously, choose a turbo that's rated to at least 30bhp MORE than your bhp goal, so as to all but 'guarantee' to reach/exceed it...
Hence why a lot of people who defo want 400bhp+ opt for the 321T, instead of the 321H.

I checked your garage Anger, and you have the correct supp. mods (and obviously a heathy engine). So you've given those two turbos every chance to make their respective headline figures... which you have achieved! Nice one.

I'm going to be adding larger injectors on mine soon.
Not sure if to go for 650cc or 800cc though?
Only thing I won't be changing at the mo is the STi TMIC. With colder weather coming and the car not being used that often at present so I will wait for a while on FMIC.
Is anyone still running a TMIC. If so what power are you getting (with supporting mods please?)
I honestly feel as though the only thing holding me back is the 550cc's at present so will need larger ASAP.

Steve - I'm still running a TMIC (Hyperflow) with an MD321H. I do use a splash of meths but this setup has produced 414bhp and 384lb/ft of torgue on Zen's rollers (renowned for their accuracy). I intend on getting a built engine next year to run more boost and up the midrange torque but will stick with my TMIC for lightening quick throttle response
Agree there, my last measured run was 482/493 on forged 2.5, 1.65 bar, hybrid inlet, cold air intake, 800cc injectors, FMIC, water injection, auto water spray, v max made to race fuel (plus 50/50 mix in WI tank) and 6 speed box, tube headers, decat, and custom 3" straight through with wrap - list is endless.
Now running upto 1.8 bar but just changed for DCCD box, new stronger clutch (again) and few other mods...wont do power run till next year though as spent way to much on box fitting

Ok,thanks well have MD321T now so will just need to get injectors so I can run dual maps with one 95 and one E85

Would be fun to se what the standard top mount will limit the turbo to.
