Great thread, looking forward to seeing the finished article.
Not tempted to tart up the engine parts a little? i.e. belt covers matching green etc?

hello thanks for the comments.

the oil return was a bit tricky. after i was given a bit of rubbish info on the oil levels in a runnuing engine which set me back a bit i did some tests. i.e. oil levels in the sum when runnings. slop when cornering braking ex. flow out the turbo.

i managed to work out the minimum hight i could have the turbo (hense the choping of the chassi leg) then made a hidrolick oil pipe up with prosure fittings and a one way valve in the sum.(for when the engine is off the oil level will put pressure on the valve to stop the oil coming out the turbo when stud. so when its first started the turbo doesnt run dry for any amount of time. i got the angles of the return worked out the degrees of the pipe for gravity flow. then when i fixed it in the side of the sump i had to braze a new maze of baffles to aid the flow of oil.

i think i have got it all worked out and on paper it should work fine. but like anything differnt wait to see i have a plan b which is to pipe in an electric oil pump to run from the bottem of the turbo but i wanted to do it this way first to keep things simple less things to go wrong.
