would they break due to the pressure in the tightened coiling? then the added stress of bumps plus the weight of the car?

yeah that s wot would break them

but when u order them they know wot car there are going on to so there should be any issues with the weight of the car etc... going to get up now and start trying to lower it, hopefully this a straight forward enough process

no mate i couldn t get the bolts at the bottom of the strut off so i put wd40 on them to loosen the rust up abit maybe have a bash at it tomorrow if i waken up on time.
