WORLD CUP RUGBY

I think hes suggesting the refs should have made better decisions
2 Missed "Acidental" offsides form Alain Rolland and the bad Try decision from dickinson.
Dont get me wrong SA may deserve the cup ...but there were some sh*T decisions in that game,

I still think the All Blacks are the best team in the World and had a bad day against the Frogs.

It was a good game, and all this debating does mean we are forgetting one thing. We beat the French in their own stadium 2nd is good, and way way more than we ever had a right to hope for at the start of this tournament.

I watched it, honestly, I thought the ball went down first. Never mind, makes no odds to the outcome, really

This is the BBC's effort. Not enough for me personally to warrant disallowing it.
Genuinely down to how a whether a few blades are painted or not.
I say again....the spirit of the law says this should be a try. "on the line" is in touch. "possibly brushing a single painted blade of grass" isn't
Cr*p decision.

In that picture his foot is clearly in touch. Excellent refereeing.
Of course without the 4th official I suspect it would have been a try.
More importantly England gifted SA 6 points early on and that was probably more telling in the end.

Full speed - try.
Slow motion, no try - foot in touch before it was lifted and ball was placed down.
If you are not English that was plain to see?
Anyway, if that had been allowed and Jonny Jonny had converted you would have still lost by 5.
Get over it.
You'll have to admit (eventually perhaps) that they were by miles the better team.

Miles better??? what game were you watching??? they( the saffas) were limited in their play, habana and Jp williams, Percy kicked averagely compared to previous games. THey didn't see the ball apart from turn over and kick returns and their forwards worked hard to get the ball. The Bokkas deserved to win no shadow of a doubt but it wasn't a white wash nor were we as crap as the the rest of the home nations. So pisk your **** up and eff off.

I am guessing I was watching the same game as you?
Boks were better in line-out, scrum, breakdown etc. etc.?
All England did was kick and hope for mistakes that didn't happen.
They weren't as good.
And they lost.
What a shame.
And before you say it, yes Wales were pants losing to Fiji.

that game summed up why i dont usually watch rugby, but since i support any sport where england are playing i watched the games/final,kinda got into it,but the game last night brought me back home why i dont follow rugby.
they say football is bad, i mean, how many penalties ???
for what, not being all clued up on rugby seemed like soft decisions and WTF from me.
and the try we got, i mean, christ, because of a few mm of leg not in the air or his knee or what the hell it was that caused us not to get it, i mean, WTF,at least in football theres some leaway for christ sakes !
if we did get the try,we could of won it,moral etc might of grown etc.
but hey, back to the footie for me,shame, but thats life.

Rig boy,
in rugby there is no leeway because the rules are much simpler. If the ball or any part of the ball carrier touches the line then the ball is in touch. Very simple and clear.
In football the ball has to be mostly over the line (throw in) or all over the line (goal) Plenty of room for judgement calls, good and bad.
Also all the penalties were clear. If you listen to the ref he calls out whether players are offside or handling the ball incorrectly long before he blows.
Last night, "6 white, hands off the ball; 6 white hands off the ball! Whistle, penalty"
Plenty of warning and yet we still gave away a sitter!

yup, hear what your saying,i couldnt follow the sport with those rules, far too frustrating for me !!!
at least in football a penalty/free kick is for an obvious foul (or a good faker LOL) but half the penalties,if u didnt hear the ref like u say,im watching a pack of guys wrestle then suddenly a penalty is given and im like WTF
but hey,if you like it and all that.........
cheers
