Careful - I could infract your lardy **** for posting that link.

Then you would be one step closer to getting banned for Christmas, and a simpleton like you wouldn't want that now, would you?

Why would you infract me for posting a photo of you which is in the public domain??? Would hardly stand up in the SN Courtroom

You calling me a c*unt, however WOULD justify you receiving another lengthy ban

I must say, though, they are very sexy gloves you are wearing

Have you asked Santa for a wig for Xmas????

In 2 hours time the papers will be filed in Court, it's all ready now -

Shame that Currys didn't even bother to respond to my final letter of 23 November .......... makes them look like they are really trying to avoid litigation

A manager of currys once told me, if you bring the item back and moan and whinge loudly enough at around 13.00 on a Saturday during the xmas period it costs so much more in lost custom from people listening to your plight than to just give you what you want...

Good luck Sir Lewis

Couldn`t you ahem, borrow one of their delivery trolleys & wheel it in on that?

The thing is Pete, you can exchange letters for months, it will turn into a neverending saga.

So, take King Erics advice & create a scene. Then they can see the problem first hand.

Good Luck

Ant

Wowee - you actually stopped prevaricating and did it! I really didn't think that you would go through with it.

Now what was my forfeit for losing the bet?

Sorry forgot to add - good luck with the claim. You do realise that it will be standing room only at the court when you get 'your day' as we will all be there to watch??

Filed today, served tomorrow

Took longer than that the last time I had to. Was closer to a month from the time I lodged my papers.

PSL

I am not a legal beagle but now the papers are filed with the court, it might be better if you keep radio silence until you get a reslut - one way or the other.

If, by any chance, Curry's are tracking this thread, they might be able to use further comments from you during the period the papers are in the court's domain against you and having got this far it would be a bummer to fail!

If you are not sure, get some advice - and NOT from fellow SNs!!

Cheers!

I certainly hope so ..............

I can still say how crap Currys are at Customer Relations though - and I would recommend that no-one buys anything from the DSG Retail Group of companies.

A BBS is not admissable in evidence - there is no proof of who has written what, when and how ... if it has been changed or amended or fabricated.

B-B ..... your penalty for doubting me could be rather challenging

Thats what the lady said to me - maybe they simply do it on-line?

Maybe they have a 'Bulk Buy' with DSG Retail? Imagine how many times Claims have been raised against Currys, Dixons and PCWorld? They would need their own dedicated 'HOTLINE' with the Courts!

Now, would it be cheaper for DGS Retail to treat their customers well and not have all this negative press? Or have they calculated that they can treat Customers disgracefully and it still works out cheaper - is it a good business model for them?

It seems like 'most' retailers would replace the TV ... they are cheap enough these days anyway.

But the Currys Group stands out as being the worst of the worst .......
Martin Dawes, Pete... Friends and Family employee discount thingy drew me towards them

There is proof of who wrote it, your IP address can certainly be logged by SNet and if you on SNet from home then your actual home address could be provided by your Internet service provider as they'll have a record of the IP addresses they've allocated to customers (and on what time / day if not static). The police and possibly the judicial system have powers to obtain this information if necessary. Of course you could say that another member of you household posted it but it would look dodgy if they traced it to your home.

There's nothing to stop the webbie / hacker / ISP from modifying the database though.

Posts can be amended, changed and people can 'appear' as other people.

The Webmaster himself has access to programs which use algorithms to detect alias accounts ........ but, in my case, those algorithms failed on quite a few occassions.

It's much harder to track than people think.

We are talking about a Civil Case, and an £800 TV ... Interpol and the Police have, as yet, just kept a watching brief on the case - they may step in if Currys CounterClaim, however ..

Quite right ...... Currys staff may well be watching this thread "HELLO ALL!!!!" - it is probably being e-mailed around the DSG Retail right now

Maybe they are running a book on the outcome, maybe Customer Services are being so arsey to see what happens?

On the contrary I think you'll find many customers of MacWarehouse love the service we offer.

I've always found PC World most co-opperative when replacing 7 faulty X Boxes, but it pays to be polite and pleasant.

Good luck anyway. Think you're going to need it.

Cheers for the best wishes .................................

I have the law on my side, the item is faulty - faults are covered under the Sale of Goods Act ....... game, set and match I think?

In the Red Corner:- Poor Old Man, with walking stick, spending £800 on a faulty TV which he cannot watch and has been treated amazingly badly by Currys Support.

In the Blue Corner:- DSG Retail, Multi-Million pound Retail shark, bullying and restricting old gentlemans rights.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ...........................

On a serious note, I hope that this long thread had had an impact on their profits this Christmas, although I suspect it will be insignificant.
