I'm dying here. You build up all that anticipation and you say your camera phone can't take night pics...come on you can do better than that, can't you?

Well i like my HIDs but that is by far a better option it looks almost original fit

I would be interested in a step by step aswell and also maybe a price list of the parts used and where they came from. Or why not just make about another 100 pairs and sell them on here

Well done

Totally agree they look spot on. Might have to try this myself when you get the step by step up.

Or whats the chance of us tempting you into making some more sets for us?

looking good...looking forward to seeing some high res pics

I wonder if you could run two smaller projectors...it may suit the shape of the lights even better than one...

Thanks everyone for the good comments.

In terms of the guide, its gonna take a bit of time as I'm planning to create a full PDF of the process

Trails mate - kinda busy tonight so will try and get some quality pics later in the week. I did think about doing two projectors, but they simply stuck out too much from the rear of the headlights.

Also after seeing RobK0000 efforts in the US decided it wasnt for me. (what do you think?)

Wanted larger projector lenses instead!

Got a set of mini projectors ready to find a new home in a 52 Reg Black Corsa (my daily run-a-about) - this will be my next project come the summer.

Trails/anyone else - got a driver side pre facelift headlight for anyone who wants to practice £10.

Great project.
I'm a bit confused.
So are you actually using HID's, or are you saying that just by changing to the Xenon lense things its much better?

Mate - I'm using Bi-Xenon OEM Projectors (my Scooby ones were from a JAG) - No HID Kits in sight.

Impressive.
But wouldn't it be better to use HID's in conjuction with these projectors?

They do have their own ballast so IMO no point getting a aftermarket HID Kit.

See them in the flesh and you couldnt imagine anything better. Should be attending SIDC meet at ACE Cafe.

Darms,

I see what you mean about the two projectors...bit tight. I would have the practice lamp but I've made a pact with myself to finish what i have already brought before any more purchases.

darms you should apply for the patent on those and actually make some money from your efforts.

They look fantastic and are a credit to you.

Patents????? nice idea mate...

In terms of making some money on them, it would have to be quite a lot of £££££££. For example, our US conterparts charge in the region of $600 for modding your existing lights!

Lets not mention another Retrofit Project at the moment.... my Mrs has started to monitor is thread, too
