Well I'm going to be completely woeful at this game. Always struggled with the Kudos challenges but the new Star system is 1000 times harder. Had to get 25 stars to unlock the 22B - I got 3

The Maserati 350F round the ring was great though, in the snow and early morning light. Looked and drove really well but the time was hardly a challenge. Even with one major spin and driving carefully I managed to beat it by 40 plus secs!

 

I found that really easy, got over 30 stars and got the 9000 Kudos "showboat" achievment.

 

So what's the trick? I just can't grok what I'm meant to do

Oh and I hate the way you can't go back and have another go

 

There isnt a trick really, its just erm......... skill.

You cant get a rizla between my bumper and the barrier on the corner im drifting round

 

From what i've played of the demo isnt the star system just the same as linking moves together on pgr3, if you've done the cone challenges on platinum then the stars should be easy.

 

PGR2 platinum is where the skill was
PGr3 was too easy

 

I've just gotten platinums on the pgr4 demo, bring it on

 

But there are no cones and stringing good corners together doesn't cut it. I managed to get a second by snaking down a straight hitting the handbrake to get small slides but that is plain stupid and no fun. Obviously I'm just c*** at it.

Have to agree on that - PGR2 was ba5tard hard compared to 3.

 

RB5 Black and I were in the 172 Platty club on PGR2. Any others on here ?

 

I found pgr2 easier than pgr3. I got platinums for everything on that, but have only managed gold on pgr3. Perhaps I'm just getting old . Either that or I haven;t got the patience to do the same thing over and over again any more...

Question is which one to play first...

 

PGR4 for a quick blast for me and start Halo 3 this weekend around the football and rugby

 

Halo is a 6-7hr game on Campaign story mode.

 

I'm going to play it on Heroic. I cant see me going through it that quickly. Everybody said Bioshock took no time but I spent a good few hours working through that. I'm probably just crap

 

I played it Herioc and would say its a bit longer than that, probably about 10 hours.

Had a very quick blast on PGR (the joys of having a plasma screen and 360 in my office *smug*) and have to say I came away extremely underwhelmed. Looked very nice but... well I can't really put my finger on it... I guess it felt pretty soulless? Looking forward to trying it with the wheel, maybe that will help.

 

I've seen the thread but I've been avoiding anything Halo 3 tagged so as not to spoil it for myself. I'll take note of that though

 

i tried to do the same as too many put downs about graphics (which i think look great)

and play by yourself so its a decent length, playing with others makes it too short. As we've played H1&2 i wanted to play the story through before joining friends who havent played 1&2 and have been playing randomly in & out of the campaign.
