Err... when did I say I had a big car?
I said TRUCK, you know, as in commercial vehicle... You do know what they are don't you?
I use it for my work, but it also doubles up as my daily runaround.
Its 18 feet of 4x4 double cab pick up truck with more luxuries than my scooby ever had!
Yet it only costs £115 for 12 months road tax
And yes I do have other vehicles to use, an even bigger van and an Audi saloon.
But when I'm wanting to call into Tesco on my way home from work in my truck! I'm not going to go home, change vehicles and drive back now am I?

A friend of mine is a Paraplegic, he drives a Convertible M3 SMG with 20" chrome wheels and a Black X5 with massive wheels, both with private plates and tints etc.. People give him evil looks when he parks in a disabled bay even though hes got a card and needs to! They just assume that all disabled people should be driving around in Volvos and People carriers.. Funny old world!

The supermarkets don't help themselves by not providing safe walkways between the car park and the shop entrance. Shepherding kids / teenagers of any age past vehicles that are reversing out of spaces while pushing a trolley full is a challenge at the best of times. I never feel safe walking across the car park. Places like M&S that provide paths are much more attractive. Again it comes down to trying to cram in as many spaces as possible.
(I suppose that it can't be that dangerous or they would have had their ar5e5 sued by now.)

A few seem to have lost the plot on parent and child spaces.... yes it's about them being wider than usual as to put a child back into a child seat you need the door wide open.... Also the whole are is usually away from the Main Car Park and is therefore known as a Child Area and hopefully people would expect small people to be in this place and would slow down a little...
I did have a 'discussion' (for want of a better word) with a lady in her 50s who took the last child space once and wandered off.... to which I helpfully said 'please dont leave your children in the car' to which she replied 'I havnt got any children... Ive done my time.. why should you get preferential parking spaces' ...
She did promptly move her car though ....

try getting back into a car parked in a normal car parking space 9 months pregnant.... It isnt always about the car...
People should look at the bigger picture.
I had a bike accident and couldnt bend my leg but didnt qualify for a diasbled spot as my accident was deemed not permanent.... In this case I needed to have the door wide open and sort of sidle in....
And before anybody jumps on me for driving and not being able to bend my leg... It was my left leg and I had a V6 Auto Mitsi

I dont think women and kids should be banned from Supermarkets
i think the men should be banned
That way we can stay at home, feet up, with a beer whilst the other half gets the shopping

Also though where the disabled bays are concerned I think somebody needs to have a word with those badge owners that sit in the car while somebody able bodied goes shopping for them.
That's equally an abuse of the valuable parking space. If you're not getting out there's no need to have pole position.
