Errr aren't the WRC engines only designed to last a few rallies and the other parts like clutches and gear boxes even less?

Start putting these parts in a road car and it will go bang pretty quickly I would think...

Nope, standard ecu! If you have a uk car then there is a small ecu modification required to make the anti lag switchable, but thats it!

I don't think the limit is 300bhp. Some have up to 330 bhp accoring to the Wales Rally GB rally planner. The limiting factor is the design and sizing of the engine and exhaust components is it not?

Your right its not, its ultimatly down to how much Air/Fuel you can get in and at which point you decide to ignite it!
