i have a question...
When we leave McDonalds after the re-group why do we head back along the A13?
Why not go back the way we came e.g. along A2 - this means another run through the Blackwall tunnel and when we get to the M25 we do not have to go over the bridge to go back up the M25 to go through Dartford tunnel
does that make sense?

Good question, we did consider this but in the end voted for the return through via the A13. It is after all the ESSEX Scooby Crew annual event and we just felt that at least part of it should be in Essex.
The second reason is that the Dartford Bridge will be closed that night so it will be a tunnel in both directions. If we come back along the A13 we can fit in another 2 trips through the Dartford Tunnel
