Iwan, the first day i was rather philisophical about it, but i have to say i am very miserable and down about it now.

Of course i could get another one, but that car was mine, i made it like it was IYSWIM and the work, money and effort in getting something so its 'mine' again is not something i can contemplate.

It's really knocked the stuffing out of me. I can't sleep and i am having odd dreams - one involving a balaclaved geezer holding a gun to my head

Sorry to hear about your car being stolen Mark.

Saw a P1 interior on fleabay earlier, I'll dig the link out, but judging by how meticulously clean you engine bay is/was, I would imagine that the interior would be immaculate too. So probably not from your car.

Not sure if thats a good or bad thing really though.

That was first listed on the 19th, and mine was stolen on the 20th. There are also a few things that visually tell me its not from my car as well.

Man i feel so sorry for you, thats the best p1 ive ever seen and you must have invested so much time,effort and money to get it like that these ****ers want hanging whoever stole that from you.

 

Glad you mention the visible differences, as this was a professional job. Therefore, since it was planned, it should not be assumed that the parts for you car were not already for sale/sold on ebay before your car was taken. Have a good look at completed auctions, as it may have been stolen to order.

Really hope you find it.

 

It doesn't surprise me mate. It's one of the reasons I got out of the performance cars scene (apart from money!), I didn't like having to look in the mirror whenever I drove it, or worry that it was going to get nicked wherever I left it - even if it was at home on the drive. I got followed home one night so parked up on an empty drive of a house 3 streets away, then moved it after the ******* had driven past a couple of times, and put it in the garage at home. When you have stuff like that happening, it kinda changes your outlook.

I'll keep my eyes peeled anyway.

This is getting far too common now...... read your threads over on p1woc when you built this car mark,gave me some insperation for my minor mods in comparision..... gutted for you.

The police have rang me tonight. The car (with a picture) was reported stolen in the Leicester mercury and my local weekly rag last week.

Despite this they have had no leads so they are not actively searching any more (if they ever where) and have closed the case.

I am just waiting to hear back from the insurers with an offer as i don't believe i have a chance of ever seeing the car again.

 

Keep your hopes up mate, atleast it hasn't been used in numerous bank jobs then burnt out.

I would imagine that the car is currently stored somewhere waiting for false plates/vin no's etc then to some poor unsuspecting buyer.

I am not much help I know. Good luck.

 

did you put something up on ebay about it? it will get a lot of people who are looking for a p1 to see that it has been stolen, and will cover the area of where someone might of seen it.

only a few ££ and will cover a vvvv big area.

just a idea, prob something i would do if it was me

 

sorry to hear that fella, the police make me laugh sometimes, my m8 had a calibra and got nicked 3 times and each time he found the car, a couple of days after he got the car back a cop car was sat behind him and did nothing lol.
Really do hope you get your car back fella and the low lifes caught.
