yup, 20 min countdown right now. Its going to go to -9 mins, and then have a planned 40 min hold Maybe I should send them a watch
Why have a t-20 mins countdown, only to put in on planned hold for 40 mins

Shiiiiit There are TWO CLOCKS
NASA - Space Shuttle - Launch and Landing
Now T-17 mins and counting
NASA - Countdown 101
Why TWO CLOCKS ?
NASA - Why Are There Two Different Countdown Clocks?
The one that shows an hour plus hasn't apparently been reset.
Foooook
Phew T-9 holding for 40 minutes to give the Astronauts drinking up time, presumably

OK, read the clock 101 thing, load of info, but fails the answer the simplest question...why oh why would you have a clock that is meant to countdown, but stops at intervals

ok, there seems to be 2 clocks running
It was T-minus 20 minutes and holding rather than counting.
Launch is indeed scheduled in 1 hour according to the Nasa website 6.36 EDT as you have all pointed out!
