He did always say that once his identity was revealed he would leave SN
Now I did post a picture of him up on here just before he left, but I think it was SaraSquares who posted his TV debut that may have caused him to finally leave
There have been in my eyes many a helpful person on this forum
another vote for Simon (RRH) top bloke always willing to help out
A few that arent on here anymore, or arent on so much, John Banks was always helpful too

what a great thread
It has to be said, this community is brimming over with top notch people. Its a further (as if it was needed) testiment to a forum being the sum of its members, and pretty much nothing more.
But, would respecfully, just like to clarify something mentioned earlier by Luminous..
Only the ones that felt they would only be helpful if they were allowed to advertise free.
1) We didn't force them to attempt to advertise free of charge.
2) We didn't tell them to stop being helpful, only to stop advertising.
The ones that are happy to just be helpful for no financial return are still here.. as are the ones who are quite willing to pay financially, in order to receive a financial return.

Without really wanting to start a major row, a lot of the really helpful people moved away from SN as they did not wish to pay to advertise on SN.

John Felstead for outstanding contribution to chassis dynamics and actually knowing what he's talking about rather than repeating stuff he's heard.
Corradoboy for being such and all-round nice bloke and real helpful chap.
AbDabz because he nominated me.
Mellow because he sold me my first RA- although he seems to have disappeared....

Forgot about Greasemonkey
Used John F for suspension mapping and the car is so much better
John Banks was also very willing and could explain things so well
There is always someone on here who knows or knows a man who does.
A very strong commumity and the envy of a few other 'one make' forums I'm told.

I was still a (Scooby)learner when greasemonkey was around!!
Thats my excuse anyway!!
Hard to really give a winner, but in the main there are alot of friendly helpful people out there, that always give good honest advice its shame to remember some, praise others and forget some, but names given below are well respected and thanks to them and others for keeping the Scoobynet going in the right direction.

Another vote for Mr Felstead Always a top bloke and the best damn driver I've seen from this forum. Caught up with him at Goodwood FoS this year. He is now putting his extensive technical knowledge into race preping and running a number of cars full time. He does still post on here and you can also find him on Pistonheads.

Pat may not post on here so much these days - or even post in way normal humans can understand () however he is a Scoobynet member and out in the real world is incredibly helpful in mapping cars or sorting electronics out such as looms, etc.
My votes would go to the most knowledgeable, even if they are not always around to help - Andy F, Mark, John Banks, Paul, Simon (JGM), Bob Rawle, 911, John F and Pat.
Having been around since the very first days of Scoobynet, offered a bit of Link advice on the way, I would say these characters have consistently offered the best input to Snet over the years.

Was always rather impressed at the fact that Simon "Jolly Green Monster" and Bob "needs no introduction" Rawle would happily give me advice even though they didn't map my car.
As for the regular members, I have found Graham (911), Jasonius and Paul (Ns04) to be the most helpful guys on here. There are many others though- it's a great forum !
