just create a loader.dll file in your halflife directory and see if the sever bans u. If it does not its not working or does not detect the most common cheat program

This is guff, why is everyone paranoid about cheating, I don't cheat as I am sure nobody else does, non of you guys are that good to be suspected of cheating. If this paladin is going to get me banned and cause probs with other servers then sod it!

Think its was u playing on the Rogue server and killing everyone in site. One of the admins starting saying 'Hes using aimbot' after watching your killing spree. After a bit of fast talking by myself and Matt (i think it was him) u got away without being banned.
This cheating is such a problem that if anyone gets lucky with a few kills they are always questions about cheating. So anti cheat software is installed to help answer some of these questions.

Just to add to the warning.........
Only a few people has reported this problem. There are also reports that some buy scripts cause people to be banned!
Maybe they have a cheat installed once / removed it and thats whats causing the problem.
Are u willing to risk it and get you wonid banned?

When I double click on the paladin thing after installing it does bugger all? Is it supposed to run in the background and does it appear in my sys tray? Me a cheater, bah I don't even no how to install a bloody anti-cheat program let alone a cheat program!

I think the installation is different if you have the retail version of cs. I use the mod version so can't really help you there.
When you run the Paladin shortcut, it should launch cs as normal.

From my pc it would seem that you run paladin with the same options as you would hl.exe and it passes them through to hl.exe And then runs as some sort of wrapper around it. I cant see why you cant have 2 shortcuts one for pure C/S and one for Paladin & C/S
There have been some blatant cheats on Rogue public recently. If the guys that run Rogue Public or our locked servers (Mikee etc.) want to install paladin (or any other S/W) taht reduces these at all then I'm for it. At the end of the day I dont get too stressed about cheating cos I can go and play cheat-free on locked.
Locked is just being used as a test bed - no intent I beilve to insinuate anyone who uses it is cheating.

The WONID is a unique number assigned to every CD-Key. When your banned on a server they ban your WONID so does not matter what ip address you use or the name of the player, they are banned.
The only way to get a new WONID is to get a new cd-key. So spend money and buy another copy of half-life
You may only be banned on that server or host but some share banned lists
The problem you have run into while installing Paladin sounds like a know problem. Just rename (or copy) your cstrike.exe to hl.exe
