although have just been to pick up some "secret" fish food, which by all accounts they cant resist....so if i dont do better than 2 fish tomorrow, i am never fishing again!!! lol

Well done to Gooners mate 8.5 lb carp, much better than the blank last time

Tiny caught a huge number of fish, all between 2-3lb and 9lb, I genuinely lost count of how many we both caught, but I thought Tiny was over 20!

I think Tiny probably caught more than me, but it was close, however biggest fish of the day and therefore the winner was me!

well done guys I'm sure tiny went over there yesterday and done a bit of trawling and kept the fish up his end in a net
Nice to see you all again though - hopefuly next time I'll do a bit better (with the help of some trawling 24 hours prior to event )

Set up for the 'double' was a bit of a match/carp combination, i.e. Match rod, float set up, but with a light, size 10 hook carp rig.

another good day...although my bait didnt quite work!!!! lol bit more practice as well i think, a couple of bites but my snatching (or whatever it's called) isnt quite up to scratch!!! lol

am off friday, but remembered i have got to take my brother to the airport then go and meet sarah who is having leaving drinks.

 

right, i really need to get fishing again. Where's the best place to get the essentials from? ie, line, few rigs, bait, oh and i'll need a landing net too as i used to borrow a mates.

how much is a licence now? think it was £18 for a year the last one i bought.

mate got caught fishing 3 rods off one licence when we were at school and had all his gear taken by the baliff and handed a nice £500 fine.

it depends if you are fishing on public or private waters. you don;t always need one. just means that if the guys deceide to fish at basildon for what ever reason you'd be able to as well.

can get them from the post office or any good tackle shop. you can get daily, weekly or yearly ones btw.
