My local pub used to be called the Whynot, now it's the Chestnut Tree, does this count?

there's a pub in great yeldham which used to be called the stone and ******. not sure why they changed the name though?

Agreed. What is a "brand" anyway? Most people seem to think it's just a name but it's actually a guarantee of consistency and when you think of it like that, there are not that many true brands about!
