I've not actually taken my Scooby out for a test run yet.
The 700PI rating gives a lot of scope for different elements to upgrade. I think I could only get mine up to 699PI. I've gone for handling over straightline speed.... Although that might change once I've done a few runs round Maple Valley Reverse

Wheels will get you the last few points you need.
The handling is something I sort first on all my cars. Full race kit on all the chassis stuff upto (without weight reduction) then test settings on power/tyres/weight from there.
maple valley has a good few fast bits with just as many twisty sections so it might be interesting to see the combos we come up with.
Do we need to sort a handicap system out for later on in the racing system ? I commented on reducing the PI of a winning driver by 5-10 points on a sliding scale for the top three ? This would make the grid easier for the 2nd-3rd races because it would grid you on PI so the fastest driver would be at the back with the slowest car.
Running the races like this will make for a series where everyone has a chance when we get a few rounds into it.
Max 700 PI Any Subaru Impreza
I'd hope this would all even out in time so the racing is good and close.
Points system with 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 ?
Any other thoughts ?

I'm sure there will be more, RoadRunner originally posted the thread for instance. Although in the end we might not need any knock out stages at this rate!

I'll try and do a time tonight - gamertag xxxenonnn?
Is it the long or short Maple Valley (and how do you do it reverse?) - I can't access the scoreboard at work
Cheers

I'm up for it guys. I think I have a 22B that is 700pi. Can I use that or does it need to be the same model as you guys?
So whats the score? I've got to set a lap time on the course mentioned above?

You can use any Scooby but a max of 700PI.
Just set a time (usually via time trial as you don't have to worry about traffic) and it'll be listed on RB5s scoreboard.

So is this now requiring a 'qualifying' lap time to get into the race? If so i'll give it a miss as its back to doing the same as time trials again, sitting there for hours trying to get the quickest time possibe/perfecting your lap. Can we not just go back to how the online racing used to be when we all jumped on line and just had fun and didn't worry who was quickest or who could race? It was just for fun and it was massive fun at that. Those first few days when we all played Forza on line were some of the best online games of any kind i've had!
Edit: answered above, i'll give it a miss then.

To be honest, if there's less than 8 takers there's no point to the qualifying, but if there's more than 8 it's the fairest way to sort the 8 racers out.
I'm still up for a bit of casual online racing as well though!

I'd say scrap the qualifiying laps in place of having a good close race where we level off at a PI level where the "less gifted" get a chance at the cup
We can run 2 rooms no problem

The patch should be up now:
* Deny gifting and reselling of cars with locked paintjobs. Why? Because this will help alleviate the problem where an artist’s precious limited edition car gets duplicated and sold on the Auction House. The only way you can sell or gift a car with a locked livery is by being the original owner/artist of the car.
* A temporary ban on the Lotus Elan use on scoreboards and in multiplayer. Why? There is an error with the Lotus Elan’s performance index calculation that puts the car at a lower class despite its capabilities, resulting in the Elan mass dominating the scoreboards in D and C class. This temporary ban will not allow you to upload lap times to the scoreboards when you use the car in career mode, and prohibits you from using the car at all in online races. When we roll out our permanent PI fix for the Elan in a future patch, we’re going to lift the ban. Sorry for the draconian measure — we really didn’t like imposing this sort of restriction on the community but this is necessary.
* Allow cars to be fully rotated while being viewed in the Auction House. Why? Because so many of you asked for the camera to be unlocked in Auction House so you can look at the paintjob on the roof of the car we thought we should do good by the community.
* A number of scoreboard problems have been fixed. These range from the glitch where if the AI did not relinquish control of your car after the rolling start, you would inadvertently post a corrupt superhuman lap time in the micro-seconds, to several “extreme” physics bugs folks have been exploiting to get crazy fast lap times (lag crash boosting and the shifting glitch).
* Removed host’s ability to boot players during a race. Why? Because this feature, although handy at times, was getting abused by hosts who kicked folks who were in the lead of a race where the stakes were high (i.e., credits were on the table). Don’t worry, you can still kick people to your heart’s content in the lobby.
* Miscellaneous fixes aplenty. Like what? Various discovered Auction House bugs that could potentially cause players to lose credits or cars. At least one triple-screen bug fix for sync’ing issues, as well as an undiscovered quickmatch bug that always connected you to the same game upon attempt.

Yep patch now available.
Took my SN Champ Scooby out for a quick test run. Lots of fun, nice and fast but not 'on rails' fast. Plenty of movement etc so should be good fun racing (think touring cars rather than F1)
Obligitory Maple reverse pic..
