Forza 2 Scoobynet Championship Racing
Who is interested in some international Scoobnet championship action??
Initial race idea - Ideas welcome :) Fortnightly event - 6 races over different size circuits meaning this championship is for 3mths - win points - chosen class entries per event - custom cars welcome - handicap system implemented to level playing field - ideas?? how about tyres?? aero dynamics?? car class points?? Qualifying TT session - First xx no. days before final race - top qualifiers win points - maybe on touring cars?? final race - win pts - points system same as F1 i.e. first 10pts, second 8pts etc - race over 20+ laps - least 1 pits stop - might require multi tier race depending on number of drivers - top 1-8 TT'ers in one race, 9-16 in second race etc |
sounds like a great idea :D I'd be up for that.
Handicap system could be like touring cars where the top drivers get a penalty weight. You could work this by making the top drivers have a max car PI. So everyone would start with C class 550. Winner of the first race would have to reduce the car th C 540 for the next round. |

Although this finally happened to mine yesterday after letting a hired driver do an endurance race (was 5 laps from finishing)... http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...6/DSC00259.jpg I didn't think to look at the power supply before resetting it though. It plays ok for the time being (on short races anyway). |

Now we seem too have the numbers .... how about sticking some of the details down ?
Car class ? My thoughts would be B or C class ? hows about Mugello short as a started track. We all know it and should have a setup/car for that event. |
Personally, I think B & C class are a bit too pedestrian. I'd go for any car so long as it does not exceed the A class PI rating.

don't you think it would make for better racing in slower cars rather than anything faster. I only said B/C because you would get closer races ?

I agree with the slower cars = closer racing. Deffo not S, U or racing cars.

Lately, me and my clan mates have been limiting ourselves to same car races - quite often the F430 race car and doing about 10 laps of Suzuka or Laguna Seca - you'd be suprised at the closeness of the racing, we had one where 5 of us crossed the finish line seperated by about 2 secs and fastest laps with half a sec covering us all.
Slower class cars tend to highlight peoples tuning abilty rather thab driving. Not saying there's anything wrong with slower class racing at all, I just find that faster cars tend to get the blood pumping a bit more. |

I'm in as well, definately agree with the idea of same car racing even just for 1 round to try it and see what its like. Would it be suiting to start with an all Scoob round of racing?

guys, we are doing this in the Essex section.
Started off with Ford Focus (up to 600 PI) made for interesting racing!!!! the more heats, the leveller the playing field... leave collisions on though ;) enjoy Dazza :) Fritz... It usually starts off as evening, but ends up into the early hours!!!! - believe me!! |

Mine has come back to life, although when playing this morning it froze up again. Waiting till it completely dies before phoning up MS. Really not looking forward to being without it for 25 days! :( |
