Hey guys, the battery/relaty cover is finished.

Paint has dried a nice matte wrinkle finish so i was able to flip it over and trim the inside with 3M backed HD foam sheet. This stuff is very thin high density foam. I put it there to stop the possibility of any short circuits and also to cushion and protect the relays/wires from damage.

Here it is all fitted up with some new stainless hardware

Looking at how you have mountes the battery like that, could really solve one of my problems - FMIC pipe hitting my OE battery and pushing against the off side headlamp.

Look what Mr Postie dropped off this morning

Now officially the owner of a Tial 44mm external wastegate. V-bands on both ends for the best mounting possible.

Build quality is the usual Tial. Nothing short of mindblowing... but i'll let you see for yourselves.

Now just my turbo and i can get on with some fabrication.

After much debate, i finally decided where i was now going to mount the fuel pressure regulator. Previously this had been mounted on my offside inner wing. However with the all new fuel system i decided i wanted a more central position so as to make the fuel lines as neat and as equal length as possible.

I can probably say im the world wide winner for the most over engineered FPR bracket in history. Not content with the first one i made, (Felt a bit flimsy) i made a 2nd one. This time out of 6mm ally billet. Its now very very solid and feels nice and strong when bolted up. I managed to get the outlets positioned nice for the returns entering the sides on the exits of the rails.

The rails i will also be making myself.

FPR setup is pretty!! I'm assuming all anodised fittings and steel braided hoses..?

Quick question that may have already been covered.. apologies if a repeat..

Since you are now going for a rotated setup, are you fabricating all the pipes yourself or are you going for the RCM setup? If the latter, is this going to be compatible with your Simpsons exhaust? I'm not clued up enough to know if one effects the other...

Yes im going rotated Ross.

I will be making my own up/downpipes of which i will just weld on my own v-band to mate it to the Simpson system.

Thats the beauty of v-banded components, theyre so interchangeable and easy to use. Plus there is no loss in flow as the flanges are male/female and designed to fit together.

All the fuel system will be braided lines with AN fittings, however i simply cant afford to do the breather system with braided (Overkill anyway)
When youre paying over Ł25 a fitting and over Ł20 a meter of hose it starts to get 'kin' expensive lol.

Matt, yes the manifold will be rotated and yes you probably wont see alot of the work gone into various parts but i dont really care. I know its there and its be done right.

What will id do when its done...????

Enjoy kicking the **** out of it

I think Matt is prob closer to the reality, the building is often the fun part, so many projects get moved on quickly after they are finished.

Alternatively Frayz could leave it in the garage with all the other toys he has spent Łk's and barely uses?

You have to work hard to play hard so whilst the works on offer it would be silly not to take it. Then when he does have spare time he has loads of things to do
