Well im just in guys.
Finally finished the runners today, i got the seat properly bolted in tonight.
Im absolutely stoked with the results. The runners fitted perfectly, opperated perfectly. The driving position is perfect, everything is absolutely bang on. Im so chuffed with the results. Especially after it had been such a frustrating task to get it to fit the way i wanted it to.
The view from outside the car looks mental, the car looks like a propper tool now and really makes the interior look focused. Ive set the seat approx 1" lower than stock and the height is perfect for me, pedals are good and steering wheel is just right too.
I went out for a quick drive just to see how it feels... all i can say is amazing. I mean it when i say you literally do not move at all once in it. The car feels so much more alive and you can feel so much more through the chassis.
The view is what really bothered me when i first purchased the seat. But im really happy to say that i have lost almost now field of vision i previously had, mirrrors, blindspots and b pillars are all in view when required.
Heres a few snaps taken on my fone of the mounts i made. Theyre fully reinforced modified OEM mounts.. i hope i have made it look as factory as possible.
Once again, sorry for the naff pics.

Thought some of you guys might like to see this.
This is to mount my new battery and the resulting saved space will be replaced with a new additional secondary oil catch tank.
The clamp is made from Macralon, please ignore the stumpy studs. Theyre just there for a measure up

Looks lovely Frayz.
Don't suppose you could make a second one, as I know someone how needs a light weight battery

I tend to fit bits in as and when ya know. Ive a million people asking me to make stuff and i cant commit because i just dont like letting people down.
I could give you the dimensions to knock one up yourselves.

Purchased a couple of bits to add to the build this week.
Firstly are a set of GT Spec Gen 2 stainless tubular headers. These have been ceramic coated by Zircotec, the same people that will be doing my downpipe.
The 2nd item is a 70mm APS wing mounted intake kit. Yes i already have a custom 80mm intake. However this is too large to fit in my wing when the APS front mounted intercooler goes on. I didnt want to run the filter in the engine bay due to excess heat that i didnt want drawn in.
So this was my only option.
Spending today (thursday) at Mocom to have afiddle with a few parts and should hopefully come home with a few extra horses under the bonnet... just to keep me amused whilst the rest of the 2.5 parts come together.
Its been a long time coming but its moving forward again, and i can finally see a light at the end of a big bhp tunnel

Hi Frayz,
Are they the GT spec headers you were sorting on the group buy? I would have got in on the act but just havn't the extra cash to spend with everything else going on at the moment.
Any idea when the 2.5 is going in?
Just want to add that I think yor interior is fapping brilliant! The seat looks top quality (should keep you in place round the ring), and the flocked, defi dash is a bit of an inspiration to get some gauges in!

The sound is really giving me the horn at the mo, GT Spec headers are the way forward.
Glad you liked it, you need to drive it for yourself without anyone else in the car. It feels even better

I have no idea what numbers its putting down, nor do i care. But with a 1.7bar spike and 1.6 bar held with funny fuel...
Its either gonna kill me or get me locked up... its ferociously quick on the road now. And the best bit is, theres more to come when my built 2.5 goes in
nice to meet you the other day down mocom mate your car is just to nice and it sounds the buissness. i love the sound of my gt spec 2 headers as well and recommend them to all as well .would love to get a ride in your car some time just to see how much diffrence the meth mix makes.as i have a drum off it down the yard but do not know if i can be bothered to keep sticking it in on each fill up. but im sure it will happen soon
