Awesome looking motor - as has been said I think the car looks much better without graphics.

Any chance the pictures could be re-hosted please? Would love to see some of the pictures from page 2 and 3, but none of them seem to want to display!

This car has moved onto a new owner now. It still looks as good but now has the power to match.

There are a few threads on SIDC about both the build and the tuning by both of the nutters who have owned it.

The car looks the exact same BTW.

So there is! I've found the threads from the original owner, but nothing from the new owner(s) yet:

SIDC - The Birth Of A Fatty

SIDC - WRC Tarmac Spec

And a collection of the finest (car) **** I found whilst reading through the above threads:

I need to go and clean my pants out now - its like a porridge bowl down there after looking at those pictures.

Here's a pic of the real thing from Prodrive with no stickers for a comparison.

Its an amazing copy (except now when I look at my Blobeye it looks positively skinny! ). One day...

...about the only "fault" I can find with it (and I use that term very loosely) is I think the exhaust shown in the early pictures lets it down a bit. It seems that the exhaust was changed though - but the pictures of the change won't display, so I can't pass judgement there!

Think it looks far better without decals though - not that I object to people putthing them on of course - but its far more striking without.

I would of went for the tarmac spec front bumper instead of the gravel. Apart from that looks great this is what i intend to do to a 2006 spec c. But i will be using it for track so might even start of with a cheap 2002 wrx shell and have it caged up.

...my plan is to have the ECU replaced when I get my exhaust changed, purely so I can run ALS. I know its going to make a minimal difference to the performance of the car, but dammit I want to sound like a rally car...

This is the sort of project that, if I was going to do it, I would want to do properly (exactly as the chap has here).

I clearly can't afford to buy an ex-WRC car and, if the odd prices I've seen before are anything to go by, I guess the individual panels must cost a small fortune.

That leaves me just one option: borrow a short skirt off the girlfriend and stand on the corner outside Prodrive HQ!

Hello Everyone,
The car that you are all drooling over is mine, lol. One of my mates told me that the thread was up again, Ill be happy to answer any questions anyone has.
When Andy first had this car built I asked him for first refusal on it if he ever sold it.
Once I took ownership the first thing I did was give it the power its looks deserve.
She now has a fully built 2.35 with a GT 35/42, the backbox is also now more with the WRC look and not the one you see in the photos although its still on the same side and not where a WRC car would have it.

Thanks for the post, however the above claim is worthless unless you supply the thread with fresh pictures

Sounds awesome; have you any threads/forum posts elsewhere on the engine work at all? Would love to see whats under the bonnet now!

Minor topic deviation: I wonder why it is that the WRC cars have the exhaust on the "wrong" side? There must be some reason/benefit as to why they've done that?

Quick Reply: My attempt on the WRC look!!
