You have the +'s mixed around. Sounds like your ign+ is in your perm and vice versa.
The parking sensor wire is a pop. Just connect it to the cage IF you have a grounding wire connected to it and this will bypass the handbrake sensor. Or just ground the cable so other way.

Sorry, I should have worded it differently. On the classics at least you have the 2 2din deep brackets (cage sorry....) that bolt on to the sides of the stereo. Then on the drivers side bracket there it a black plug (ground wire) that clips on. This helps make sure that the stereo chassis is grounded. You are running a negatively charged car chassis (grounded chassis basically) meaning that all you have to do is make sure that the parking sensor wire makes good contact with ANY metal part of the car that makes contact with the chassis. All I did with mine was cut it back, crimp on a clip and clipped it to the left side connector on my 'cage'.
Hope that makes sense as I explained that pretty poorly tbh.

just fitted mine myself today... boy are the wires a pain to squeeze back,
the screen isn't as flush as granby's
however i have a 2 main problems, there is no picture if i insert a dvd, only the sound, do i HAVE to fit that parking sensor wire? is there a way to bypass that (is that the problem?) i can't seem to find the wire , theres a light green one but its in the iso connector.
other problem is EVERYTIME i start the car the unit goes to the passcode screen, it also forgets my settings,
my speakers now sounds so bloody rattly. maybe need to upgrade them FAST!

With ref to the DVD i think you have to press the V Sel button until it is displayed

I'm currently using the Nokia N73.
My bluetooth unit works fine with all of my Kenwood gear, however, it doesn't read my phone book by name, it just displays the number when calling.
Tried downloading them individually and as a group but no luck, not that bothered but would be good if it worked.
Just wondering what process you went through to transfer all of your contacts to your headunit?
Cheers

so you managed to get the screen working as a rear view mirror. did you manage to get the screen to switch to rear view automatically when selecting reverse?
tissy - just out of interest, do you know the legal position on using a screen as a rear view mirror? could this be considered as "watching tv" or as a visual aid either as an alternative (??) or in addition to a traditional winscreen-mounted rear view mirror?

i only got it working as a camera, it doesn't change screen automatically,
but i love it, as i only listen to the radio or mp3 player, and i have the camera running, (its a better screen than the basic tuner screen)

I've got that exact setup but with the Bluetooth Adaptor and an Alpine Type R sub/amp combo.
I have to say that this setup is the best I have had to date.
The screen is superb, great clarity, the build quality is spot on. I was really impressed with how quick you can scan through your iPod on the screen, its lightening quick.
Fitting wise, you are having a laugh aren't you!! £150
It literally takes 15 minutes and thats with being overly cautious not to knock anything.
Have a crack at it yourself mate, its literally unscrew about 8 screws, take out old headunit, fix brackets from old headunit to new Kenwood and then screw back in.
