Right, well mine is in. I got bored waiting for the bluetooth adaptor to turn up. I was dreading how much dremeling would be needed to the center panel but the work I did to fit the old AVX2 in pretty well covered it perfectly. **** poor pics, could do closer ones if anyone is interested, but a really good fit, the bottom buttons only protude by a couple of mm so very happy, the rest looks to be a perfect fit.

Did it myself and it's very easy to fit as it's just 1 box, nothing else needed unless you want to add bluetooth or reversing cam like i have

Yup the 7200 is a piece of cake to fit

Just do yourself a favour. Decide what extras you want and do it all in one hit lol.
Gets really annoying taking it back out over and over.

I paid just over 700 for mine thru a mate.
Ebay seems to be the cheapest at the mo. A place on Walworth Rd in SE London, you can collect it there if you prefer, but a reputable place.

I've had the Kenwood DPX501U , DDX-6029 and now the DDX-7029 in my 06 & 07 STI's

All fit fine and easy to fit, just need the ISO connector for the wiring harness, £3.

I have the Kenwood bluetooth connected to all above units, DDX-7029 reads all my contacts from my Nokia phone without having to download to the unit like I had to with the Kenwood DPX501U.

Very easy to use.

Ipod connection was annoying as I had the IP-500 but the 7029 doesnt use that, I needed to buy the IP-300 which is just some leads but you can play videos from the ipod now - well cool.

oh, and I have the IP-500 ipod thingy for sale if any1 intereted, PM me. £25 posted

From what i've heard on forums don't bother with the traffic thing as they don't seem to work very well at the moment

Installation is SO easy lol
I am yet to acc the traffic module, but will be doing it when the sub and amp go in, along with the reverse camera

Buying the 7200 is the best thing I have done for ages lol. Love it.

I got the camera off Tissy who also makes a bracket for it which fits onto the number plate lights, then i just ran the wiring through the big grommet in the bottom of the spare wheel well

No drilling needed, as i said bracket fixes to the number plate lights and the wiring goes through the large grommet in the spare wheel well

I'm almost sold on the DNX7200 (especially after some of the photos above) , but have a couple of questions:
1. Does it take a DAB tuner (if so, has anyone got any suggestions) and
2. is it ok with any USB connected MP3 player (I use a Creative Zen)

Thanks
Simon

what i find maybe confusing, is how do you tidy up the wiring from the grommet, to the actual headunit

Just run it under the carpet, either along the transmission tunnel or the sill

Guys, why don't you do a bit of the legwork yourselves and look at the website or through the online manual for the unit?

just fitted mine myself today... boy are the wires a pain to squeeze back,
the screen isn't as flush as granby's

however i have a 2 main problems, there is no picture if i insert a dvd, only the sound, do i HAVE to fit that parking sensor wire? is there a way to bypass that (is that the problem?) i can't seem to find the wire , theres a light green one but its in the iso connector.

other problem is EVERYTIME i start the car the unit goes to the passcode screen, it also forgets my settings,

my speakers now sounds so bloody rattly. maybe need to upgrade them FAST!
