Mike,

There is quite a nice thread started by the Prodrive guy in the US (Dan?) over on NAISOC with nice pics of the kit. In that thread he states the kit will be avaliable for WRX soon too.... is this something the US get and we miss out on?

Tony.

Tony

The WRX version is being looked at for the US, the volumes here don't stack up on their own. If it is intoduced in the US we will be looking to do it here as well on the back of the US demand.

Regards

Changing the dampers has allowed us to get a small amount more bump travel but you can't get this low, even with our bumpstops on a std damper without it having too little travel. If you get that low the handling of the car gets quite scary. The front of the car sits on the front bumpstop as you turn in giving understeer as the outside front tyre gets overloaded. As you open the throttle the front of the car comes up and the grip returns so it changes to oversteer very quickly if you're not careful.

Thanks Mike.

Mike
If you already have the Prodrive springkit MY2006 Sti can you update the dampers only with the new kit or do you have to buy the lot?

Unfortunately you'll need to buy the whole lot as the rear springs aren't interchangeable between the two.

Is there very much difference to the standard STi ride & handling wise..?
And if there is a difference, could you expand on how it feels different.

it rides a wee bit lower and firmer but doesn't understeer the same as the sti and just seems to grip and corner so much better than any sti ive driven
